Mason Springthorpe
Mason Thomas Springthorpe (born 1 November 1994) is an English footballer who plays for Shrewsbury Up & Comers as a goalkeeper. He joined Everton for £125,000 from Shrewsbury Town in February 2011 but never played a competitive match, spending a month on loan at Woking in January 2014. After being released that May, he had a brief stint at Ellesmere Rangers before returning to the professional game by signing for Fleetwood Town in January 2015, being released at the end of the season. He went on to play for a series of non-league clubs. Early life Born in Shrewsbury, Springthorpe played as a forward as a child, but at the age of nine his father converted him to be a goalkeeper. Shrewsbury

The ''Shropshire Star'' is reputedly the twelfth biggest-selling regional newspaper in the UK. The 2013–14 Premier League (known as the Barclays Premier League for sponsorship reasons) was the 22nd season of the Premier League, the top-flight English professional league for men's football clubs, and the 115th season of top-flight English football overall. The Football Association Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the FA Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic English football. Wigan Athletic Football Club () is an English professional association football club based in Wigan, Greater Manchester, England. Ján Mucha (born 5 December 1982) is a Slovak former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Everton In January 2010, Mucha signed a pre-contract deal with English Premier League club Everton to join them on 1 July. On 4 August 2010, Mucha made his Everton debut playing the first 45 minutes of a pre-season friendly against Chilean side Everton de Viña del Mar at Goodison Park, before being replaced in goal by Iain Turner at half-time. Goodison Park is a football stadium in the Walton area of Liverpool, England. It has been the home stadium of Premier League club Everton F.C. since its completion in 1892. Jack Christian Rodwell (born 11 March 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays for Sydney FC as a centre-back or defensive midfielder. Rodwell joined Everton's academy at the age of seven, and made his debut in 2007. He spent five years in the first team before he transferred to Premier League champions Manchester City in 2012. After making only 16 league appearances in two seasons, Rodwell was sold to Sunderland in August 2014. Jose Baxter (born 7 February 1992) is an English former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. BBC Radio Shropshire is the BBC's local radio station serving Shropshire. It broadcasts on FM, DAB, digital TV and via BBC Sounds from studios on Boscobel Drive in Shrewsbury. According to RAJAR, the station has a weekly audience of 61,000 listeners and a 6.6% share as of September 2022. Transmitters The 96 MHz FM signal from The Wrekin is the strongest, and can be heard from outside the county, especially along the M5 and M6 near Birmingham, as well as into western Staffordshire, southern Cheshire and Wrexham.
