Mashallah Abdullayev
Mashallah Abdullayev (''Abdullayev Maşallah Babakişi oğlu''; 27 May 1950 – 26 October 2022) was a military serviceman of Azerbaijan Republic Armed Forces, Chief Lieutenant. He was awarded National Hero of Azerbaijan. Early life Abdullayev was born in Kapanakchi village of Goranboy region on 27 May 1950. He studied at Gornaboy secondary school # 1 and then at the Vocational school. Mashallah started working at Goranboy Exploitation of Artesian wells project at age 15. He then worked at Sumgayit Aluminum Plant. Career Abdullayev was called for military service in 1969. He served in Kerch city and returned to Baku after leaving the Army in 1971. When Mashallah returned, he started working at Baku Oil Rigs. Abdullayev decided to pursue his education and entered Baku Physical Education College in 1973. Mashallah Shamsolvaezin (born 18 June 1957) is an Iranian newspaper and magazine publisher who edited many of post-revolutionary Iran's first and most widely circulated independent newspapers, including ''Kayhan'', ''Jame'eh'', '' Neshat'', and ''Asr-e Azadegan''. He currently serves as the spokesman for the Iranian Committee for the Defense of Freedom of the Press, and also as vice president of the Association of Iranian Journalists. A recipient of the 2000 CPJ International Press Freedom Award, Shamsolvaezin has been imprisoned multiple times for his journalistic activities. Mashaallah was an American-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred race horse. He is notable for his performances in 1992 when he won Group One races in Italy, Germany and Ireland. Background Mashaallah was bred in Kentucky by William Stamps Farish III. He was sired by the Triple Crown winner Nijinsky out of the Round Table mare Homespun. He was thus a full brother of the Oak Leaf Stakes winner Folk Art and the minor stakes winner Sportin' Life. He is inbred 4x4 to Nearco, meaning that this stallion appears twice in the fourth generation of Mashaallah's pedigree (see below). As a yearling Mashaallah was sold for $525,000 at the 1989 Keeneland July Sale. He was trained throughout his career by John Gosden at Newmarket, Suffolk.
