Maserati MSG Racing
Maserati Monaco Sports Group Racing is a Monegasque racing team that competes in Formula E, which is organized by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The team was formed from Venturi Racing and made its debut in the series in the 2022–23 season. History On 10 January 2022, Maserati announced that it would enter Formula E as a manufacturer, in partnership with a yet-to-be-announced team. Its debut in the electric single-seater category was scheduled for the 2022–23 season, marking its return to single-seater racing after 65 years, when the manufacturer had last competed in Formula One in 1957. As a result, Maserati would become the first Italian constructor and manufacturer to compete in Formula E. James Rossiter
James Rossiter (born 25 August 1983) is a former professional racing driver, British motorsport executive and Team Principal of Maserati MSG Racing in Formula E. He was a Test Driver for BAR, Honda, Super Aguri and Force India in Formula One and was due to drive for the proposed US F1 Team in the 2010 season. Before joining Maserati, Rossiter was the Sporting Director and Reserve Driver for DS Techeetah and raced for Peugeot Sport in the FIA World Endurance Championship. 2015–16 Formula E Championship
The 2015–16 FIA Formula E Championship was the second season of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, FIA Formula E championship, held from 24 October 2015 to 3 July 2016. The season saw seven new manufacturers, who were allowed to develop new power trains, specifically the e-motor, the inverter, the gearbox and the cooling system. Nelson Piquet Jr. was the defending Drivers' Champion and DAMS, Renault the defending teams' champion. After ten rounds, Sébastien Buemi won the championship by just two points over Lucas di Grassi after setting the fastest lap in the final race, where neither driver finished following an opening lap crash and several attempts to set the fastest lap in their second cars. Throughout its history, the Italian auto manufacturer Maserati has participated in various forms of motorsports including Formula One, sportscar racing and touring car racing, both as a works team and through private entrants. Beginnings One of the first Maseratis the Tipo 26 driven by Alfieri Maserati with Guerino Bertocchi acting as riding mechanic won the Targa Florio 1,500 cc class in 1926, finishing in ninth place in overall. Maserati was very successful in pre-war Grand Prix racing using a variety of cars with 4, 6, 8 and 16 cylinders (two straight-eights mounted parallel to one another). The 2023 Mexico City ePrix known for sponsorships reasons as the 2023 Hankook Mexico City E-Prix was a Formula E electric car race held at the Autódromo Hermanos RodrÃguez in the centre of Mexico City on 14 January 2023. It served as the opening round of the 2022–23 Formula E season and the seventh edition of the event. Background This was the first race of the 2022–23 Formula E season and as such was also the first Formula E race run with the Gen3 cars. This race was also the first to not feature Fanboost, which previously allowed for fans to vote for drivers to get an extra power boost. Formula E, officially the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, is a single-seater motorsport championship for electric cars. The 2022–23 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is due to be the ninth season of the FIA Formula E championship. The 2022–23 season is planned to be the first season of the Formula E Gen3 car. 2014–15 Formula E Championship
The 2014–15 FIA Formula E Championship was the inaugural season of a new FIA championship for electrically powered cars. It began on 13 September 2014 at Beijing in China and finished on 28 June 2015 in London after eleven races. Nelson Piquet Jr. came first in the overall standings, and so became the first ever Formula E champion. The car For the first season, all teams were supplied an electric racing car built by Spark Racing Technology, called the Spark-Renault SRT 01E. The chassis was designed by Dallara, with an electric motor developed by McLaren (the same as that used in its P1 supercar), a battery system created by Williams Grand Prix Engineering and a Hewland five-speed gearbox.
