Masamune Datenicle
''Masamune Datenicle'' is a Japanese anime series produced through the cooperation of the anime studio Gaina and the city of Date, Fukushima. It is one of a number of anime produced by Gaina in promotion of Fukushima Prefecture. Otherwise known as ''Masamune Date ni Kuru'' (), the anime references not only the word "chronicle" in its title, but also the Japanese phrase "come to Date." Plot The series follows a young Date Masamune as he prepares for his first battle. Upon praying at the Date family shrine, Masamune is met by a dragon deity that bestows him with a jewel granting him the power to summon former leaders of the Date Clan to help him on his journey. Date Tomomune
Date Tomomune (伊達 朝宗, 1129 - October 23, 1199) was a samurai during the closing years of the Heian period through to the beginning of the Kamakura period. He is known as the founder of the Date Clan. Biography In 1189, Nakamura Hitachi-nyudo Nensai received the territory of Date from Minamoto Yoritomo as a result of his participation in the Battle of Ōshu. He then changed his name to Date Tomomune and founded the Date Clan at Takakogaoka Castle, in the present day town of Hobara in Date City, Fukushima Prefecture. , better known by the stage name Kenn (stylized as KENN), is a Japanese actor, voice actor and singer from Tokyo, Japan. He made his debut as a voice actor in 2004 in the Japanese anime ''Yu-Gi-Oh! GX'' (''Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX'' in Japan) as Jaden Yuki, the protagonist of the series and his most known role. He also performed in the musical adaptation of the popular sports anime ''The Prince of Tennis'' as Yuta Fuji, the younger brother of Seigaku's Shusuke Fuji. Date Shigezane
was a Japanese samurai of the late Sengoku through early Edo periods. Founder of the Watari-Date clan. A senior retainer of the Date clan of Sendai, he was a cousin of Date Masamune on his mother's side, and a cousin of Masamune's father Date Terumune on his father's side.
