Field Hockey
Field hockey is a team sport structured in standard hockey format, in which each team plays with ten outfield players and a goalkeeper. Teams must drive a round hockey ball by hitting it with a hockey stick towards the rival team's shooting circle and then into the goal. The match is won by the team that scores the most goals. Matches are played on grass, watered turf, artificial turf, synthetic field, or indoor boarded surface. The stick is made of wood, carbon fibre, fibreglass, or a combination of carbon fibre and fibreglass in different quantities. The stick has two sides; one rounded and one flat; only the flat face of the stick is allowed to progress the ball. During play, goalkeepers are the only players allowed to touch the ball with any part of their body. A player's hand is considered part of the stick if holding the stick. Women's Asian Champions Trophy
The Women's Asian Champions Trophy is a biennial women's international field hockey competition contested by the best five women's national teams of the member associations of the Asian Hockey Federation. The tournament has been won by three different teams. South Korea are the defending champions and have to most titles with three. Japan has two titles and India has won the tournament once. The 2011 Asian Women's Hockey Champions Trophy was the 2nd edition of the Women's Asian Champions Trophy, a biennial women's international field hockey tournament organized by the Asian Hockey Federation. The tournament was held alongside the men's tournament in Ordos, China from 4 to 10 September 2011. Yazu, Tottori
is a town located in Yazu District, Tottori Prefecture, Japan. As of October 1, 2015, the town has a population of 16,985 and a density of . The total area is . Yazu was formed on March 31, 2005, by the merger of the towns of Funaoka, Hattō and Kōge, all from Yazu District. Geography Yazu is located to the far east of Tottori Prefecture. Its highest peak is Ōginosen (), which is located on the border of the city of Tottori, the towns of Misasa and Chizu, as well as Shin'onsen in Hyōgo Prefecture. Ōginosen is part of the Daisen Volcanic Belt. The mountain is part of Hyōnosen-Ushiroyama-Nagisan Quasi-National Park, and has facilities for skiing and camping. The women's field hockey tournament at the 2012 Summer Olympics was the 9th edition of the field hockey event for women at the Summer Olympic Games. It was held over a thirteen-day period beginning on 29 July, and culminating with the medal finals on 10 August. All games were played at the Riverbank Arena within the Olympic Park in London, United Kingdom. Defending champions the Netherlands won the gold medal for the third time after defeating Argentina 2–0 in the final. Great Britain won the bronze medal by defeating New Zealand 3–1.
