Mary J. Miller
Mary John Miller (born July 19, 1955) is an American government official and political candidate who served as Under Secretary for Domestic Finance and a former Acting Deputy Secretary of the Treasury. In 2020, she announced her candidacy for Mayor of Baltimore but lost to Council President Brandon Scott in the June 2020 Democratic primary. Early life and education As a child, Miller grew up in Princeton, New Jersey and Ithaca, New York. Miller received a B.A. from Cornell University, where she was a member of the Quill and Dagger society. She received a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Career At T. Rowe Price Miller spent 26 years working for T. Bernard C. "Jack" Young (born June 26, 1954) is an American politician and former mayor of Baltimore, Maryland. A member of the Democratic Party, Young was elected to the Baltimore City Council in 1996 representing Baltimore's second district. In 2010, Young became City Council President following Stephanie Rawlings-Blake taking over as mayor due to the indictment of Sheila Dixon. On April 2, 2019, Young was named acting mayor during the leave of absence by Mayor Catherine Pugh. Following Pugh's resignation on May 2, 2019, Young was fully vested as mayor of the city. Sheila Dixon
Sheila Ann Dixon (born December 27, 1953) is an American politician who served as the forty-eighth mayor of Baltimore, Maryland. When the former mayor, Martin O'Malley, was sworn in as governor on January 17, 2007, Dixon, the president of the Baltimore City Council, served out the remaining year of his term. In November 2007, she was elected mayor. She was the first African-American woman to serve as president of the City Council, Baltimore's first female mayor, and Baltimore's third black mayor. On January 9, 2009, Dixon was indicted on twelve felony and misdemeanor counts, including perjury, theft, and misconduct. The charges stem partly from incidents in which she allegedly misappropriated gift cards intended for the poor. Alexander Hamilton
Alexander Hamilton (January 11, 1755 or 1757July 12, 1804) was an American military officer, statesman, and Founding Father who served as the first United States secretary of the treasury from 1789 to 1795. Born out of wedlock in Charlestown, Nevis, Hamilton was orphaned as a child and taken in by a prosperous merchant. He pursued his education in New York before serving as an artillery officer in the American Revolutionary War.
