Mary Hart
Mary Hart (born Mary Johanna Harum; November 8, 1950) is an American television personality and actress. She was the long-running host (1982–2011) of the syndicated gossip and entertainment round-up television program ''Entertainment Tonight'', the longest running entertainment magazine show of all time. She was Miss South Dakota 1970. Early life Mary Harum was born in Madison, South Dakota. She was raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Denmark. She speaks English, Danish and Swedish fluently. She graduated from Augustana Academy in 1968 and from Augustana College in Sioux Falls in 1972. Career She was crowned Miss South Dakota 1970 and subsequently was a semi-finalist in the Miss America 1971 pageant. While teaching English at Washington High School for two years, she also produced and anchored her own talk show on then-NBC affiliate KSFY-TV in Sioux Falls. Mary Theresa Hart
Mary Theresa Hart (January 7, 1872 – February 25, 1942) was an American artist and illustrator. She was known for portraits of sitters as prominent as her father, the Hudson River School painter James McDougal Hart and the writers William Austin Dickinson (Emily Dickinson's brother) and Zoe Anderson Norris; and for children's book and magazine illustrations. In the early 1900s she was considered "one of the best women artists" in New York. Biography Hart was born in 1872 in New York, the third child and second daughter of James McDougal Hart and the artist Mary Theresa Gorsuch Hart (d. 1921), who was best known for ''Easter Morning'', a widely reproduced image of a white marble cross draped in flowers. Mary Seymour
Mary Seymour (30 August 1548 – c. 1550), born at her father’s country seat, Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire, was the only daughter of Thomas Seymour, 1st Baron Seymour of Sudeley, and Catherine Parr, widow of Henry VIII of England. Although Catherine was married four times, Mary was her only child. Complications from Mary's birth would claim the life of her mother on 5 September 1548, and her father was executed less than a year later for treason against Edward VI. In 1549, the Parliament of England passed an Act3 & 4 Edw. 6 C A P. XIV removing the attainder placed on her father from Mary, but his lands remained property of the Crown. As her mother's wealth was left entirely to her father and later confiscated by the Crown, Mary was left a destitute orphan in the care of Katherine Willoughby, Duchess of Suffolk, who appears to have resented this imposition. Mary De Vere
Mary de Vere (''circa'' 1554-''circa'' 24 June 1624) was a 16th-century English noblewoman who lived a life of extraordinary wealth and privilege. The daughter of John de Vere, 16th Earl of Oxford, and his second wife Margery Golding, she married Peregrine Bertie, 13th Baron Willoughby de Eresby. The couple lived with their six children in Grimsthorpe Castle in Lincolnshire. Following Bertie's death, Lady Willoughby married Sir Eustace Hart. She died on about 24 June 1624. Early life and family No records exist for the date or place of birth of Mary, second child of John de Vere and his second wife, Margery Golding. She was born in late 1554 at the earliest, according to Professor Alan H. Nelson, her brother's biographer. He notes there's no mention of a pregnancy or sibling to Edward in the codicil to her father's will dated 28 Jan 1554. Lynne Roberts, also credited as Mary Hart, born Theda May Roberts (November 22, 1922 – April 1, 1978) was an American film actress during the Golden Age of Hollywood. She appeared exclusively in what were referred to as B-movies. Early years Born in El Paso, Texas, Roberts was the daughter of Hobart M. Roberts, a bookkeeper, and May Holland. The family moved to Los Angeles in the 1920s. Career Roberts began working as an actress in the 1930s, under contract to Republic Pictures. At the age of 14, in 1936, she played a role in ''Bulldog Edition''. In 1938, at age 16, she starred in the cliffhangers: ''The Lone Ranger'' and ''Dick Tracy Returns'', and played a role in ''The Higgins Family''. She was officially listed in studio records as having been born in 1919. In 1941 she starred with Sonja Henie and John Payne in ''Sun Valley Serenade'', while under contract to 20th Century-Fox.
