Mary Adams (born 23 November 1952) is an American politician. She is a Democrat representing District 43 in the North Dakota House of Representatives. Biography Adams was born on November 23, 1952. She worked as a realtor at Crary Homes & Real Estate. In 2018, Adams announced her candidacy for state representative. She and fellow Democrat Matt Eidson won the November general election. She took office on December 1, 2018. Adams is married to Steve. Zachary Milo Ista (born April 7, 1985) is an American attorney and politician. Grand Forks is the third-largest city in the state of North Dakota (after Fargo and Bismarck) and the county seat of Grand Forks County. According to the 2020 census, the city's population was 59,166. Grand Forks, along with its twin city of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, forms the center of the Grand Forks, ND-MN Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is often called Greater Grand Forks or the Grand Cities. Located on the western banks of the north-flowing Red River of the North, in a flat region known as the Red River Valley, the city is prone to flooding. The North Dakota House of Representatives is the lower house of the North Dakota Legislative Assembly and is larger than the North Dakota Senate. North Dakota is divided into between 40 and 54 legislative districts apportioned by population as determined by the decennial census. The 2000 redistricting plan provided for 47 districts. As each district elects two Representatives to the House, there are currently 94 representatives in the House. Representatives serve four-year terms. Elections are staggered such that half the districts have elections every two years.
