Marwan Youssef
Marwan Youssef ( ar, مروان يوسف born 19 April 1994) is a Lebanese singer and songwriter. He rose to fame when he won the 11th season of Star Academy in 2015–16. After his victory, Marwan released two singles and one music video, and performed many concerts in music festivals in the Arab World. Early life ''Marwan Youssef was born in to a family of Lebanese Christians. Marwan performed on TV before Star Academy on religious Christian TV channel NourSat. Career ''Star Academy Arabia 11'' and ''Watan Hobbi'': 2015–2016 Marwan Youssef entered season 11 of ''Star Academy'' as one of 18 contestants. Throughout his 4 months on the show, he was chosen twice as top student and never fell into the danger zone. Youssef won the final prime with 55.46% of the votes, beating the 3 other finalists. Star Academy (Arabia)
''Star Academy Arab World'' or ''Star Academy Arabia'', is a pan-Arab televised talent show, which has aired since 2003. The show features a group of young male and female candidates who are selected from a pan-Arab pool of more than three-thousand and are sequestered for four months in "The Academy," a four-story building in Lebanon, where they live, train, and compete against one another every week. The show became an instant success and an everyday much-watched event across the Arab world. The show was adapted from a French show of the same name and is produced by Dutch company Endemol, Vanilla Productions & PAC Ltd. Star Academy Arab World is based on the Spanish format Operación Triunfo. The show centers around the 16 candidates who compete in weekly talent competitions, singing, dancing, and acting during on-stage performances. Byblos
Byblos ( ; gr, Βύβλος), also known as Jbeil or Jubayl ( ar, جُبَيْل, Jubayl, locally ; phn, 𐤂𐤁𐤋, , probably ), is a city in the Keserwan-Jbeil Governorate of Lebanon. It is believed to have been first occupied between 8800 and 7000BC and continuously inhabited since 5000BC, making it one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Lebanese People
The Lebanese people ( ar, الشعب اللبناني / ALA-LC: ', ) are the people inhabiting or originating from Lebanon. The term may also include those who had inhabited Mount Lebanon and the Anti-Lebanon Mountains prior to the creation of the modern Lebanese state. The major religious groups among the Lebanese people within Lebanon are Shia Muslims (27%), Sunni Muslims (27%), Maronite Christians (21%), Greek Orthodox Christians (8%), Melkite Christians (5%), Druze (5.2%), Protestant Christians (1%). The largest contingent of Lebanese, however, comprise a diaspora in North America, South America, Europe, Australia and Africa, which is predominantly Maronite Christian. Télé Lumière is the first Christian television station in Lebanon and the Arab world and was founded in 1991. Since 2003, it also broadcasts satellite programming worldwide under the name Noursat. The Murex d'Or (also known as the Golden Murex award) is a Lebanon, Lebanese award created by two Lebanon, Lebanese physicians, Zahi and Fadi Helou to recognize achievements in the domain of art in Lebanon, the Arab world, Arab region and the world.
