Marwan Mohsen Fahmy Tharwat Gameldin Mahmoud Fahmy ( ar, مروان محسن فهمي ثروت جمال الدين محمود فهمي; born 26 February 1989) is an Egyptian professional footballer who plays as a striker for the Egypt national team. Mohsen made his debut with Egypt on 3 September 2011 against Sierra Leone in an 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualification, 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, where he also scored his first international goal. Club career Petrojet After the impressive performance in the Egyptian Second division side in the first half of the 2009–2010 season, Egyptian Premier League side Petrojet signed him for the rest of the season in the winter transfer window. Hepatitis C
Hepatitis C is an infectious disease caused by the hepatitis C virus (HCV) that primarily affects the liver; it is a type of viral hepatitis. During the initial infection people often have mild or no symptoms. Occasionally a fever, dark urine, abdominal pain, and yellow tinged skin occurs. The virus persists in the liver in about 75% to 85% of those initially infected. Early on, chronic infection typically has no symptoms. Over many years however, it often leads to liver disease and occasionally cirrhosis. Port Said Stadium Disaster
On 1 February 2012, a massive riot occurred at Port Said Stadium in Port Said, Egypt, following an 2011–12 Egyptian Premier League, Egyptian Premier League Association football, football match between Al Masry SC, Masry and Al Ahly SC, Ahly. Seventy-four people were killed and more than 500 were injured after thousands of Al Masry fans stormed the stadium stands and the pitch following a 3–1 victory by their club, and violently attacked Ahly fans using clubs, stones, machetes, knives, bottles and fireworks, trapping them inside the El Ahly partition of the stadium. Many of the deaths were due to police refusal to open the stadium gates, trapping the Ahly fans inside, leaving some to die, and killing others in a stampede while trying to escape. The 10th All-Africa Games took place between September 3–18, 2011 in Maputo, Mozambique. Maputo's hosting marked the third time the Games was held in the southern part of the continent.
