Marvin Musquin
Marvin Musquin (born 30 December 1989 in La Réole, France) is a French professional motocross and supercross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 2004 to 2010 and, has competed in the AMA Motocross Championships since 2011. Motocross career In 2004, Musquin won the European Motocross Championship in the 85cc class. He followed this by winning the 2006 125cc Junior World Championship. He competed on a privateer Honda in the 2008 F.I.M. MX2-GP world championship, finishing in 14th place. Musquin won the 2009 F.I.M. MX2-GP World Championship and, successfully defended his title in 2010 while riding for the KTM factory racing team managed by former world champion Stefan Everts. Since 2011, Musquin has competed in the 250cc class of the AMA Motocross Championship, finishing the 2013 season in third place overall. La Réole
La Réole (; oc, La Rèula) is a commune in the Gironde department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France. Geography La Réole is located on the right bank of the Garonne, southeast of Bordeaux by rail. La Réole station has rail connections to Agen, Langon and Bordeaux. History There is evidence of a Roman villa, ''La Pontesa'', with an adjoining cemetery which has been dated to be from the 3rd or 4th century. There were other Roman villas nearby. At this time in the region, there were Roman buildings every kilometre and a half or so. Evidence of later dwellings on the ''La Pontesa'' site show that it was inhabited between the 7th and 8th centuries. Nineteen sarcophaguses and funeral articles have been found on this site. In motorsports, a factory-backed racing team or driver is one sponsored by a vehicle manufacturer in official competitions. As motorsport competition is an expensive endeavor, some degree of factory support is desired and often necessary for success. Aldon Baker
Aldon Baker (born 1971 in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa) is a trainer of motorcycle racers. Early life Aldon was a club level motorcycle roadracer before being inducted into the South African army. He was a two-time winner of the South African XC Championship for mountain biking and represented South Africa in the 1996 World Championships. He was set to compete in the 2000 Sydney Olympics when the South African Olympic Committee eliminated mountain biking from their program. His father was a top marathon runner. Career Baker started his career as a personal trainer at a gym in London creating fitness routines and diet regimens drawing on his mountain biking experience. In 2000 Johnny O'Mara was overseeing the training of Ricky Carmichael. O'Mara was acquainted with Baker through Oakley and suggested he might help him. Eli Tomac (born November 14, 1992) is an American professional Motocross and Supercross racer competing in the AMA Supercross and Motocross championships; a 2-Time AMA Supercross Champion, a 5-Time AMA Pro Motocross Champion and a Regional 250 Supercross Champion. As an amateur Eli won 8 Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Championship titles. He didn’t win titles right away or through his first 5 years (from 1999 through 2003). His first title came in 2004. Ken Roczen (born 29 April 1994 in Mattstedt, Germany) is a German professional motocross and supercross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 2009 to 2011 and the AMA Supercross Championships since 2011. He is an MX2 Motocross World Champion, Motocross des Nations winner, 250cc West Supercross champion, 450cc Monster Energy cup winner, and two-time 450cc AMA Motocross champion. Motocross Des Nations
The Motocross des Nations (in French) is an annual team motocross race, where riders representing their country meet at what is billed as the "Olympics of Motocross". The event has been staged since 1947, where the team of Bill Nicholson, Fred Rist and Bob Ray, representing Great Britain, took home the Chamberlain Trophy for the first time. The event as it stands today is an amalgamation of three separate events, the original Motocross des Nations, raced with 500cc motorcycles, the Trophée des Nations, raced with 250cc motorcycles, and the Coupe des Nations, for 125cc motorcycles. Before 1984, the three events were held in different locations on different weekends, whereafter they were combined into a single event with one rider per class. Stefan Everts (born 25 November 1972) is a Belgian former professional motocross racer and racing team manager. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1988 to 2006. Everts is notable for winning a record 10 FIM motocross world championships and 101 motocross Grand Prix race victories, making him the most successful competitor in the history of the Motocross World Championships.
