Marvin Goldklang
Marvin Goldklang is a minority owner of the New York Yankees and the majority owner of the Pittsfield Suns in Massachusetts. He is also the principal owner of the Charleston RiverDogs, the New York Yankees’ affiliate in the Class A South Atlantic League. Since 2004, he has been in the Hall of Fame of the South Atlantic League. He was inducted in the Florida State League Hall of Fame in 2010, the New York Penn League Hall of Fame in 2018 and was elected to the board of trustees for Minor League Baseball in 2014. New York–Penn League
The New York–Penn League (NYPL) was a Minor League Baseball league that operated in the northeastern United States from 1939 to 2020. Classified as a Class A Short Season league, its season started in June, after major-league teams signed their amateur draft picks to professional contracts, and ended in early September. In 2019, its last season of operation, the NYPL had 14 teams from eight different states. In addition to New York and Pennsylvania, from which the league drew its name, the NYPL also had clubs in Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, Vermont, West Virginia, and Connecticut. The Brooklyn Cyclones were the last NYPL champions, defeating the Lowell Spinners, two games to one, in 2019. Florida State League
The Florida State League (FSL) is a Minor League Baseball league based in the state of Florida. Having been classified at various levels throughout its existence, it operated at Class A-Advanced from 1990 until its demotion to Single-A following Major League Baseball's 2021 reorganization of the minor leagues. The league temporarily operated for the 2021 season as the Low-A Southeast before reassuming its original moniker in 2022.
