Marvel Universe Live!
''Marvel Universe Live!'', stylized as ''Marvel Universe LIVE!'', is a touring live action arena show featuring Marvel Comics characters by Feld Entertainment. So far there have been two shows under the banner, the original and "Age of Heroes". Marvel's previous licensed theatrical show, ''Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark'', a Broadway musical, was plagued by several injuries. The movie licenses currently do not restrict the licensed Marvel characters' appearances in a theatrical presentation such as an arena show. History In March 2013, Feld Entertainment agreed with Marvel Entertainment to produce a Marvel Character-based live arena show. For nearly two years, development and engineering had been underway for the show. In September 2013, regional casting calls began in Los Angeles with another set held in Las Vegas, New York and in Orlando in October. Feld Entertainment Inc. is an American live show production company which owns a number of traveling shows. The company began with the now-defunct Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus then expanded into additional live events, including Disney on Ice, Monster Jam, AMA Supercross Championship, and Sesame Street Live. The company is family owned. History In 1967, Irvin Feld Israel Feld and Roy M. Hofheinz offered to purchase the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Broadway producers Cy Feuer and Ernest H. Martin sued in December 1967 to stop the sale. Nevertheless, the purchase of the combined circuses from the Ringling and North families to the Feld group took place for $8 million. Wolverine (birth name: James Howlett; Pseudonym, alias: Logan and Weapon X) is a Character (arts), fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, mostly in association with the X-Men. He is a Mutant (Marvel Comics), mutant who possesses animal-keen senses, enhanced physical capabilities, a powerful regenerative ability known as a healing factor, and three retractable claws in each hand. Doctor Stephen Strange is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Steve Ditko, the character first appeared in ''Strange Tales'' #110 (cover-dated July 1963). Doctor Strange serves as Sorcerer Supreme, the primary protector of Earth against Magic in fiction, magical and Mysticism, mystical threats. Strange was introduced during the Silver Age of Comic Books in an attempt to bring a different kind of character and themes of mysticism to Marvel Comics. Falcon (Samuel Thomas "Sam" Wilson) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was introduced by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Gene Colan in ''Captain America (comic book), Captain America'' #117 (Sept. 1969), and was the first Black American superhero in mainstream comic books. Samuel Wilson, or known as his superhero alias ''Falcon'', uses mechanical wings to fly, defend, and attack. He also has limited telepathic and empathic control over birds.
