Marvel Games is the publishing brand for video games based on Marvel properties, and is also the video game division of Marvel Entertainment. Before the incorporation of Marvel Games, video games based on Marvel properties released between 1982 and 1985 were handled by Marvel Comics Group, with Marvel video games from 1986 to 1998 being handled by Marvel Entertainment Group, whilst video games based on Marvel properties prior to the incorporation of Marvel Games were handled directly by Marvel Enterprises. ''Questprobe: Featuring Spider-Man'' is the second video game in the ''Questprobe'' series. Gameplay The player takes the role of Spider-Man, with powers including super strength and the ability to climb walls. Unlike previous releases, this game was not limited to simple verb/noun input, and could accept complex sentences. Plot Spider-Man begins the game imprisoned in a skyscraper which he must explore. He encounters characters such as Sandman (Marvel Comics), Sandman, Hydro-Man, and Ringmaster (comics), Ringmaster. The player must solve puzzles and collect gems. He also encounters Madame Web and Lizard (comics), Lizard. The X-Men are a superhero team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, first appearing in Uncanny X-Men, ''The X-Men'' #1 by artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby and writer/editor Stan Lee in 1963. ''The Uncanny X-Men'', sometimes referred to as ''Marvel's X-Men'', is an Action game, action video game released by LJN for the Nintendo Entertainment System, NES in 1989. It is a licensed game based on the series of X-Men comics of the Uncanny X-Men, same name by Marvel Comics. The lineup of characters in the game is very close to those appearing in the 1989 animated pilot ''X-Men: Pryde of the X-Men''. ''The Uncanny X-Men'' is the only title by LJN that was developed by an undisclosed external developer. Empire Interactive was a British video game developer and Video game publisher, publisher based in London. Mikro-Gen was a UK software company based in Bracknell, Berkshire that produced games for home computers in the early to mid-1980s. The company was formed by Mike Meek and Andrew Laurie in 1981, in order to capitalise on the growing boom of microcomputers in the home. The company had a solid reputation but became more prominent with its series of games featuring Wally Week and his family, all of which got excellent reviews in the highly respected computer magazine Crash. Howard the Duck is a fictional Character (arts), character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by writer Steve Gerber and artist Val Mayerik.
