Marvel's Young Adult Television Series
Marvel's young adult television series are two interconnected American television series in the young adult genre, based on characters that appear in publications by Marvel Comics. Produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios, they are set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and acknowledge the continuity of the franchise's films and other television series. Cable channel Freeform ordered '' Cloak & Dagger'', a youth-oriented superhero series starring Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph, from Marvel Television in April 2016 following years of development. Later in 2016, the similarly younger-skewing '' Runaways'' was ordered from Marvel Television by the streaming service Hulu. Both Freeform and Hulu are Disney owned, and share the two series through a marketing partnership. ''Marvel's Runaways'', or simply ''Runaways'', is an American television series created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage for the streaming service Hulu, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. Aubrey Joseph
Aubrey Omari Joseph (born November 26, 1997) is an American actor best known for his role as Tyrone Johnson / Cloak in Freeform's '' Cloak & Dagger''. Career Aubrey started acting on the stage, portraying Simba in the Broadway musical ''The Lion King'', a role he alternated with Judah Bellamy. Aubrey has his first major, starring role after being cast in January 2017 as Tyrone Johnson / Cloak, one of the lead characters, in the '' Marvel's Cloak & Dagger'' television series. The show, set within the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe, aired on Freeform, jointly produced by the network, Marvel Television, based on the Marvel Comics characters of the same name. Stephanie Savage (born 1969) is a Canadian screenwriter and television producer. The New Warriors is a fictional superhero team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. ''Runaways'' is a superhero comic book series published by Marvel Comics.
