Marupakkam
''Marupakkam'' ( en, The Other Side, italic=yes) is a 1991 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language Drama (film and television), drama film written and directed by K. S. Sethumadhavan. An adaptation of the Tamil novella ''Uchi Veyyil'' by Indira Parthasarathy, the film stars Sivakumar, Radha (actress), Radha, and Jayabharathi. Its music is composed by L. Vaidyanathan. At the 38th National Film Awards, ''Marupakkam'' won three National Film Awards, including the Golden Lotus Award for National Film Award for Best Feature Film, Best Film, making it the first Tamil film to win in that category. The film was featured at the International Film Festival of India in 2003 as part of a retrospective tribute to Sethumadhavan. Udaya Chandrika, better known by her screen/stage name Radha (born 3 June 1965), is an Indian actress, who predominantly appears in Tamil and Telugu films in addition to a few Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi films. R. Parthasarathy, commonly known as Indira Parthasarathy or Ee. Paa., is an Indian author and playwright who writes in Tamil. He has published 16 novels, 10 plays, anthologies of short stories, and essays. He is best known for his plays, "Aurangzeb", "Nandan Kathai" and "Ramanujar". ''Agneepath'' (, ) is a 1990 Indian Hindi-language action crime film directed by Mukul Anand and written jointly by Santosh Saroj and Kader Khan.
