Marun Petrochemical Complex (M.P.C.) ( fa, شرکت پتروشیمی, Sherkat Petrochimi), is a petrochemical complex in Mahshahr, Khuzestan, Iran which was established in 21 Jan 1995. The complex consists of low-density polyethylene (LDPE), high-density polyethylene, polyphenol, olefin, ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol and ultrasonic testing plants. The main plant is Olefin which feeds the others. Each plant has its own license. For example the license for LDPE plant is from Stamicarbon (Sabic). Mahshahr
Bandar-e Mahshahr ( fa, بندرماهشهر) is a city and capital of Mahshahr County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. Mahshahr has two universities. Islamic Azad University of Mahshahr and Amirkabir University of Technology, Mahshahr campus. Both universities concentrate on engineering programs, especially petroleum and petrochemical engineering. High-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polyethylene high-density (PEHD) is a thermoplastic polymer produced from the monomer ethylene.
