Martynas Echodas
Martynas Echodas (born 7 July 1997) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player for Rytas Vilnius of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) and the Basketball Champions League. Playing career Echodas was born in Kaunas, Lithuania. A product of Žalgiris' youth system, Echodas spent his first three seasons playing for Žalgiris-2 Kaunas of National Basketball League (NKL). On September 1, 2016, Echodas was loaned to BC Šiauliai of the LKL. On November 23, he recorded a career-high 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 37 efficiency points in a FIBA Europe Cup match against Pardubice. In August 2017, Echodas signed a three-year contract with Rytas Vilnius. In his second year with Rytas, Echodas won the EuroCup's Rising Star Award for the 2018–19 season. Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL) (''English'': Lithuanian Basketball League), also known as Betsafe LKL for sponsorship reasons, is the premier professional men's club basketball league in Lithuania. It is composed of 12 teams, and it is a member of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation. The FIBA U18 European Championship, originally known as the European Championship for Juniors, is a youth men's basketball competition that was inaugurated with the 1964 edition. 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualification
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification was the first FIBA Basketball World Cup, World Cup for which teams had to qualify for under the new qualification system. The process determined 31 out of the 32 teams that participated at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup. Qualified teams Format The continental championships no longer belong to the qualification system for the World Cup. The Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) is a professional men's club basketball league that has been organised in Italy since 1920. Performance Index Rating (PIR) is a basketball mathematical statistical formula that is used by the Euroleague Basketball Company's first and second tier competitions, the EuroLeague and the EuroCup, as well as various European national domestic and regional leagues. It is a part of the Tendex basketball rating system. It is also variously referred to as Performance Index Ranking, Rating, Ranking, Evaluation, Valuation, and Efficiency. The FIBA Europe Cup (FEC) is an annual professional club basketball competition organised by FIBA for eligible European clubs. It is FIBA's European-wide second level. Clubs mainly qualify for the competition based on their performance in national leagues and cup competitions, although this is not the sole deciding factor. The Basketball Champions League (BCL) is an annual professional basketball competition for European clubs, organised by FIBA. It is the top-level competition organised by FIBA Europe, therefore the champion participates in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their national leagues and cup competitions. Although exceptional, some teams can be wildcarded.
