Martin Young (journalist)
Martin Young (born 5 July 1947) is a television reporter and interviewer. Born in Glasgow, he attended Dulwich College and Caius College, Cambridge where he was President of the Marlowe Society and a member of Footlights. Young began his career as a researcher for Border Television in 1969, and became a reporter/presenter for Tyne Tees Television in 1970 before joining BBC '' Look North''. In 1973, he joined '' Nationwide'', going on to work on both ''Newsnight'' and '' Panorama''. In 1980 he helped to found the award-winning programme '' Rough Justice'' which led to the release of five people on murder and serious assault charges. This work formed the basis of two books: ''Rough Justice'' and ''More Rough Justice'', co-authored with Peter Hill. In 1986 he and the producer, Peter Hill, were suspended from the BBC for three months and barred from working on investigative programmes for two years after being found to have made 'unjustifiable threats' to make an interviewee withdra ...

Martin Young (cricketer)
Douglas Martin Young (15 April 1924 – 18 June 1993) was an English first-class cricketer who played for Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. He was a right-handed opening batsman. Young played for Worcestershire from 1946 to 1948, then for Gloucestershire from 1949 to 1964. He scored 23,400 runs in his career with Gloucestershire, including 40 hundreds. His most prolific year came in 1959 when he managed 2090 runs. It was the second time that he had passed 2000 runs in a season, having also done so in 1955. In 1962 he put on 395 with Ronald Nicholls against Oxford University which remains the highest first-class opening stand by Gloucestershire; Young made his highest first-class score of 198. Colourbox
Colourbox were an English electronic musical group on the 4AD label, releasing a number of records between 1982 and 1987. The band was formed by brothers Martyn and Steve Young, Ian Robbins, and vocalist Debbion Currie. Currie and Robbins left the band in 1983, with the role of vocalist being filled by Lorita Grahame. Colourbox stood apart from their then-4AD labelmates â€“ bands such as Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, and This Mortal Coil (although the Young brothers contributed to tracks on the latter project's first two albums ''It'll End in Tears'' and ''Filigree & Shadow''). Their sound was eclectic, drawing from reggae and soul influences (with covers of tracks by U-Roy and Augustus Pablo released as singles), beat-box driven hip-hop rhythms, blue-eyed soul, as well as a fusion of far-ranging influences spanning from classic R&B, to dub and industrial. Martin Young shows up in the abstracts of several significant real estate transactions that provided for the growth of the town of Chesterton.
