Martinović (Serbian Cyrillic: ''Mартиновић'') is a patronymic surname meaning 'son of Martin', and is a common surname in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia. Its Hungarian form is Martinovics. It is also the surname of a Montenegrin aristocratic dynasty, the Martinovitch-Orlovitch, named after its dynastic founder, Martin Orlović, during the former days of the royal state, as well as one of the clans of Montenegro. To this day the tradition of the burning of the Badnjak (oak branch) outside the Cetinje Monastery in celebration of Orthodox Christmas is performed by a member of the Martinovići. Jovo Martinović is a freelance investigative journalist in Montenegro, known for his reporting on organized crime in Europe and war criminals in the Balkans. His reporting has appeared in international news outlets, including ''The Economist'', ''Time'', ''Newsday'' and the ''Financial Times''. Among his noteworthy projects was helping produce a Vice News documentary on a gang of jewel thieves known as the Pink Panthers. Aleksandar Martinović
Aleksandar Martinović ( sr-Cyrl, Александар Мартиновић; born 15 June 1976) is a Serbian lawyer and politician serving as minister of public administration and local self-government since 2022. A member of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), he led its parliamentary caucus from 2016 to 2022. As a member of the far-right Serbian Radical Party (SRS), he served in the SRS parliamentary group from 2007 to 2012, after which he joined SNS. Early life and career Martinović was born in Slavonski Brod, in what was then the Socialist Republic of Croatia in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. He graduated from the University of Novi Sad's law faculty in 1999 and subsequently received a master's degree (2003) and a doctorate (2011) from the same institution. He has been employed by the faculty since 2001, working in the field of constitutional law.

The Orlović ( sr-Cyrl, Орловић, Orlovići / Орловићи) are a noble house originating in medieval Serbia. Danijela Martinović (born 15 July 1971), also known mononymously as Danijela, is a Croatian pop singer. Biography Born in Split to Croatian parents, Martinović began to sing from an early age. She has a sister, Izabela, who also pursued a music career through Split-based pop act Stijene. Her big breakthrough came in 1991 when she joined the pop band Magazin. Milan Martinović (Serbian Cyrillic: Милан Мартиновић; born 6 August 1979) is a Serbian former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. After starting out at his hometown club Rad, Martinović moved abroad to Spain and joined La Liga side Oviedo in July 2000. He returned to his homeland the next year to play for Red Star Belgrade. Novak Martinović ( sr-Cyrl, Новак Мартиновић, ; born 31 January 1985) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a defender for OFK Beograd.
