Gord Martineau
Gord Martineau (born September 23, 1947) is a Canadian television journalist. In April 2007, he received a lifetime achievement award from the RTNDA for 40 years in broadcasting. Martineau worked briefly in radio in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Montreal with CJAD, as well as CJCH-TV in Halifax and CFCF-TV in Montreal before heading to Toronto. At CFCF-TV he served as weekend anchor of "Pulse". In Toronto, he worked briefly for CFTO-TV but made his name as the senior anchor of Citytv's City''News'' (formerly City''Pulse'') newscast in Toronto. He was with the station since its inception, except for a few weeks in 1980 when he moved to Global Television Network as a news co-anchor for CIII. John Ellis Martineau
John Ellis Martineau (December 2, 1873 – March 6, 1937) was the 28th governor of Arkansas and was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. His term as Governor was marked by the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927, with Martineau serving as President of the Tri-State Flood Commission. Jesse Martineau is a Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing the Hillsborough District 42 starting in 2016. He formerly represented Manchester Ward 9. Jean Martineau (born July 1, 1961) is currently Senior Vice President, Communications & Business Operations for the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL. Early life and education Jean Martineau was raised in a family that was very close to hockey. His father and grandfather were owners of the Quebec Aces of the American Hockey League in the early 1960s. In 1984 he earned his BA in Communications at Université Laval in Sainte-Foy, Quebec. Jean Martineau (lawyer)
Jean Martineau, (ca. 1895 – 11 December 1985) was a Canadian lawyer, judge and President of the Canada Council for the Arts from 1964 to 1969. Martineau was educated at the Université de Montréal. He was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1919 and joined a Montreal law firm then known as Chauvin, Walker, that had been founded in 1907 by Henry Noel Chauvin and George Harold Baker. When he joined its senior partners were Henry Chauvin and Harold E. Walker, both of whom were English speaking. He practised with the firm until he was appointed to the Quebec Court of Appeal in 1954. Jacques Martineau (born 8 July 1963) is a French film director and screenwriter who works in collaboration with partner Olivier Ducastel. Life and career After spending his adolescence in Nice, Martineau moved to Paris to study at the Ecole Normale Supérieure. After graduating, he took up a teaching post at the facility. Horace Robert Martineau VC (31 October 1874 – 7 April 1916) was a British recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. Military career Born and educated in London, Martineau enlisted in the 11th Hussars in 1891. He served in Natal and in India before buying his discharge and returning to South Africa in 1895.
