Martin Wistinghausen
Martin Wistinghausen (born 22 February 1979) is a German composer and Bass (voice type), bass singer. Life Born in Düsseldorf, Wistinghausen studied singing (Kurt Moll, Rudolf Piernay), voice pedagogy, musical composition (Ernst Bechert, Ulrich Leyendecker), German Studies and History (Magister) in Cologne, Mannheim and Düsseldorf. Most recently he received a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service to study composition with Adriana Hölszky at the Salzburg Mozarteum. He also attended master classes with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. (singing) and Salvatore Sciarrino (composition). He performed with renowned ensembles such as the and L'arpa festante and received a number of commissions for compositions. Composer
A composer is a person who writes music. The term is especially used to indicate composers of Western classical music, or those who are composers by occupation. Many composers are, or were, also skilled performers of music. Etymology and Definition The term is descended from Latin, ''compōnō''; literally "one who puts together". Sextet
A sextet (or hexad) is a formation containing exactly six members. The former term is commonly associated with vocal ensembles (e.g. The King's Singers, Affabre Concinui) or musical instrument groups, but can be applied to any situation where six similar or related objects are considered a single unit. Musical compositions with six parts are sextets. Many musical compositions are named for the number of musicians for which they are written. If a piece is written for six performers, it may be called a "sextet". Steve Reich's "Sextet", for example, is written for six percussionists. The Komische Oper Berlin is a German opera company based in Berlin. The company produces opera, operetta and musicals. Ingeborg Bachmann
Ingeborg Bachmann (25 June 1926 – 17 October 1973) was an Austrian poet and author. Biography Bachmann was born in Klagenfurt, in the Austrian state of Carinthia, the daughter of Olga (née Haas) and Matthias Bachmann, a schoolteacher. Her father was an early member of the Austrian National Socialist Party. She had a sister, Isolde, and a brother, Heinz. She studied philosophy, psychology, German philology, and law at the universities of Innsbruck, Graz, and Vienna.
