Martin T. Rucker (born June 15, 1957) is a former a Democratic member of the Missouri House of Representatives.''Official Manual, State of Missouri, 2005-2006.'' Jefferson City, MO: Secretary of State. Biography Rucker is a graduate of St. Joseph Central High School. He went on to study at Central Wyoming College in Riverton, Wyoming, and Missouri Western State University. He was first elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2004. He served as Deputy Whip of the Black Caucus and Rural Caucus. He was also a member on the Special Committee on Education Funding, as well as the standing committees on Agriculture Policy, Appropriations - Education, and Senior Citizen Advocacy. In 2010, he was an unsuccessful candidate for the Missouri Senate. He currently serves as a member on the Missouri Probation and Parole Board. Martin Rucker (American Football)
Martin T. Rucker II (born May 4, 1985) is a former American football tight end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Kansas City Chiefs. He was chosen by the Cleveland Browns in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Missouri. Early years Rucker attended Benton High School in St. Joseph, Missouri. He finished his high prep career with 56 catches for 646 yards, 5 touchdowns, 118 tackles and 2 sacks. The Missouri House of Representatives is the lower chamber of the Missouri General Assembly. It has 163 members, representing districts with an average size of 37,000 residents. House members are elected for two-year terms during general elections held in even-numbered years. Missouri's house is the fourth largest in the United States even as the state ranks 18th in population. The only states with a larger lower house in the United States are New Hampshire (400), Pennsylvania (203) and Georgia (180). Republicans have controlled the State House since 2003. The Missouri Senate is the upper chamber of the Missouri General Assembly. It has 34 members, representing districts with an average population of 174,000. Its members serve four-year terms, with half the seats being up for election every two years.
