Martin Sather
Martin Sather (born August 23, 1983, in Fairbanks, Alaska) is an American curler. In 2002 Sather won the United States Junior Curling Championship, playing second for skip Leo Johnson. The national title earned them the opportunity to represent the United States at the 2002 World Junior Championship in Kelowna, British Columbia, where they finished ninth out of ten teams. After juniors he took a break but returned to competitive curling in 2010. He won the 2012 United States Men's Championship playing second for Heath McCormick, they then finished 8th at the 2012 World Championship. 2010 United States Men's Curling Championship
The 2010 United States Curling Men's Championships were held in Kalamazoo, Michigan from March 6 to 13. The 54th edition of the United States Curling Men's Championships was held alongside the 2010 Women's Nationals. Teams could qualify through three different methods. John Shuster's team qualified through the first method by virtue of being the defending champions. Next, teams could qualify by finishing in the top spots of their respective regional championships. The final method of qualification came in a Nationals Playdown where the teams that placed between 2nd and 4th in their regional qualifications compete for the final three spots. On Friday, February 27, 2010 it was revealed on the USA Network broadcast that John Shuster's team had elected to withdraw from the National Championships. Mark Lazar
Mark Lazar (born July 19, 1977) is an American curler and curling coach. He competed in the 2005 United States Olympic Curling Trials. He curls out of the Detroit Curling Club. He coached Team Stopera to three United States Junior Championships and a silver medal at the 2017 World Junior Championships. Playing career While attending Bowling Green University in his freshman year, Lazar took a 1 credit gym class in curling. He joined the Bowling Green Curling Club a year after and joined a club league and the university curling league. Lazar participated in the 2001, 2002, and 2003 United States Men's Curling Championships. In 2005 Lazar was lead for the Don Barcome Jr. rink at the United States Olympic Curling Trials, where his team finished 10th. He also participated in the 2006 Men's Nationals, finishing 9th. Tyler George
Tyler George (born October 6, 1982) is an American curler from Duluth, Minnesota. He is a three-time U.S. Champion, 2016 World bronze medalist, and 2018 Olympic gold medalist. Since the 2018 Olympics, he has taken a break from playing competitive curling, instead spending time as an ambassador and coach for the sport. Curling career Juniors George competed at the United States Junior National Championships several times but never made it past the semifinals. However, in 2001 he was invited to be the alternate on Andy Roza's team at the 2001 World Junior Curling Championships, where they defeated Scotland's David Edwards in the bronze medal match. In 2002 George teamed up with Shellan Reed and Patti Luke, two of the previous year's Minnesota Women's Club State Champions, and Gary Luke, to play as a mixed team.
