Martin Palmer
Martin Giles Palmer (born 14 October 1953) is a theologian, Sinologist, author and international specialist on all major faiths and religious traditions and cultures. He is the Founding President and Chief Executive oFaithInvest an international not-for-profit membership association for religious groups and faith-based institutional investors, which empowers faith groups to invest in line with their values. FaithInvest grew out of the Alliance of Religions and Conservation (ARC) of which Palmer was Secretary General from 1995 to 2019. Palmer is also the Director of the International Consultancy on Religion, Education and Culture (ICOREC). Palmer is the author and editor of more than 20 books on religious and environmental topics and the translator of several popular books on Sinology, including ''Zhuangzi'' and ''I Ching''. Alliance Of Religions And Conservation
The Alliance of Religions and Conservation (ARC) was a United Kingdom-based international organisation founded by Prince Philip, in 1995. ARC was a secular body whose aim was to assist the major religions of the world to develop environmental programmes based on their own core teachings, beliefs and practices. In 2007 it joined with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to develop a significant and innovative programme to work with the world’s major faiths to address issues of global warming and the natural environment through the development of faith-based “Long Term Commitments for a Living Planet” – pledges of faith action on the environment aimed at achieving generational change. Many of the religions working with ARC presented their Long-Term Commitments at the ARC-UNDP conference in Windsor Castle in November 2009, at which Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-Moon and Prince Philip were present. Andrew Louth
Andrew Louth (; born 11 November 1944) is an English theologian. He is an emeritus professor of patristic and Byzantine studies in the Department of Theology and Religion of Durham University. Louth has been at Durham University since 1996. Previously he taught at the University of Oxford (mostly patristics) and at Goldsmiths' College in Byzantine and early medieval history. He is a fellow of the British Academy and was a member of the British Academy Council from 2011 to 2014. He was President of the Ecclesiastical History Society (2009–10). Born on 11 November 1944 in Louth, Lincolnshire, he was educated at the universities of Cambridge and Edinburgh. Formerly an Anglican priest, he converted to Eastern Orthodoxy in 1989 and was ordained as an Eastern Orthodox priest in 2003. Caroline Humfress, FRHS, FSLS, is a legal historian who is professor at the University of St Andrews and Director of its Institute of Legal and Constitutional Research. Early life and education Caroline Humfress received her advanced education at the University of Cambridge from where she earned her BA, MA, and PhD, the last for a thesis titled ''Forensic practice in the development of Roman law and ecclesiastical law in late antiquity, with special reference to the prosecution of heresy'' (1999).
