Martin Ondeko
Martin Ondeko (born 16 July 1985) is a former Ugandan international cricketer who represented the Ugandan national side between 2007 and 2008. He played as a right-handed opening batsman. Ondeko was born in the town of Entebbe, in Uganda's Central Region. He represented the Uganda under-19s at the 2004 Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh, featuring in four of his team's six matches. In Uganda's final game of the tournament, a five-wicket win against Canada, he scored 99 not out from 148 balls, for which he was named man of the match. Marylebone Cricket Club
Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is a cricket club founded in 1787 and based since 1814 at Lord's Cricket Ground, which it owns, in St John's Wood, London. The club was formerly the governing body of cricket retaining considerable global influence. In 1788, the MCC took responsibility for the laws of cricket, issuing a revised version that year. Changes to these Laws are now determined by the International Cricket Council (ICC), but the copyright is still owned by MCC. Diego Lord (born 26 September 1977) is an Argentine cricketer who plays for Lomas Athletic Club. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler who has played for Argentina since 1997. He was born in Buenos Aires. Lord made his ICC Trophy debut in 1997, in a defeat against Malaysia, and took one wicket, despite being out for a duck in his innings. He played four more matches during the competition, scoring just one run in all the games combined, fewer than any other Argentine batsman who played more than one game in the competition. Leg before wicket (lbw) is one of the ways in which a batsman can be dismissed in the sport of cricket. Following an appeal by the fielding side, the umpire may rule a batter out lbw if the ball would have struck the wicket but was instead intercepted by any part of the batter's body (except the hand holding the bat). The umpire's decision will depend on a number of criteria, including where the ball pitched, whether the ball hit in line with the wickets, the ball's expected future trajectory after hitting the batsman, and whether the batter was attempting to hit the ball. Dead rubber is a term used in sporting parlance to describe a match in a series where the series result has already been decided by earlier matches. The dead rubber match therefore has no effect on the winner and loser of the series, other than the total number of matches won and lost. The term is used in Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup tennis, as well as in international cricket, field hockey, the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League, Rugby World Cup and the State of Origin series.
