Martin Heneghan
Martin Heneghan (born 19 September 1991) is an Irish professional darts player who currently plays in World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He is a WDF Europe Cup singles champion. Career He made his first appearance in an international competition at the Limerick Classic, where he advanced to the quarter-finals. The following year he competed in numerous national tournaments, winning three times at the Grand Prix Strokestown, Lawlors Singles and Mohill Spring Festival. Very good results in the national competition allowed him to compete in his debut 2010 Winmau World Masters tournament. He lost in the second round match to Vegard Elvevoll. At the end of the year, he participated in the inaugural 2011 PDC World Youth Championship tournament and lost in the third round to Shaun Griffiths by 3–4 in legs. Roundfort
Roundfort (Irish: Lois na Maol) is a parish in County Mayo, Ireland with a church (Church of the Immaculate Conception), school (Roundfort National School), a playschool and a local pub (Delia Murphy's). Farming is the main provider within the parish for those who do not work in neighbouring towns and cities such as Ballinrobe, Claremorris, Castlebar and Galway and further afield. BDO World Darts Championship
The WDF World Darts Championship is a world championship competition in darts, organised by the World Darts Federation. It would previously organised by the British Darts Organisation (BDO), who held it 43 times from 1978 to 2020. The championship was first held at the Heart of the Midlands Nightclub in the English city of Nottingham. The following year it moved to the Jollees Cabaret Club, Stoke, where it stayed until 1985. From 1986 to 2019, it was held at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green, Surrey. In 2020, the tournament was held at Indigo, part of the O2 entertainment district in London. Until the split in darts, it was the only World Darts Championship tournament. The 1993 tournament was the last unified Championship. 16 players left following a dispute with the BDO and the newly formed Professional Darts Corporation started staging its own annual PDC World Championship since 1994. David Copley (darts Player)
David C. Copley (January 31, 1952 – November 20, 2012) was an American publishing heir, on the board of the Copley Press for over thirty years, becoming president and owner, as well as publisher of the ''San Diego Union-Tribune''. He was a noted philanthropist. Early life Copley was born as David Hunt in San Diego in 1952, the son of Helen K. Copley. He went to boarding school at Canterbury School, graduating in 1970. In 1988, the school dedicated ''David Casey Copley Library'' is his honor. He went on to attain a BA in Business Administration from Menlo College in 1975. His mother worked for James Copley, the owner of Copley Press, as secretary, marrying him in 1965. Pavel Jirkal (born 10 April 1983) is a Czech darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Pavel started playing at the age of 14 and is one of the most experienced Czech players. In 2001 he won Czech Open, a tournament organised by the British Darts Organisation (BDO), when he defeated another Czech player, Radek Schulz. A year later, he became the World champion U21 in soft-tip darts. He took part in bigger international tournaments in 2004 and 2005, when he competed in the major tournament World Masters. Paul Hogan (darts Player)
Paul Hogan (born 30 August 1963) is an English professional darts player who plays in events of the World Darts Federation. He is nicknamed "Crocodile Dundee" after the film starring his namesake, Australian actor Paul Hogan. Career Hogan made his World Championship debut in 1995, reaching the quarter finals. He beat Per Skau and Sean Palfrey before losing to Richie Burnett who went on to win the tournament. He returned the next year but couldn't repeat his performance of twelve months earlier, losing in the first round to Matt Clark. He failed to qualify for 1997 and 98 but did so for the 1999 World Championship, but again lost in the first round to Colin Monk. Thibault Tricole
Thibault Tricole (born 11 October 1989) is a French professional darts player who currently plays in World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He is a first French player to advance to final of the World Darts Championship and most successful darts player to come from France. Career Since 2010, Tricole has occasionally competed in British Darts Organisation and World Darts Federation tournaments, including several times at the Winmau World Masters, but without any notable success. In 2019, he tried his hand at the Q-School of the PDC for the first time, but was unable to secure a tour card. Daniel Larsson (darts Player)
Daniel Larsson (born 9 June 1981) is a Swedish professional darts player. Career Larsson reached the semi final of the 2006 WDF Europe Cup, scoring wins over Tony O'Shea and Martin Phillips before losing to Niels de Ruiter. He then reached the final of the Sweden National Championship, losing to Alan Norris. On 4 December 2008 Larsson qualified for the 2009 BDO World Darts Championship, winning one of five spots. He defeated Steve Farmer in the earlier rounds and then beat Paul Gibbs and Stephen Bunting to qualify. He was drawn against O'Shea in the first round and lost 3–0. Wesley Harms
Wesley Harms (born 11 June 1984) is a Dutch former professional darts player. Career Harms won the BDO International Open in 2011, defeating Stephen Bunting in the final. Harms qualified for the 2012 BDO World Darts Championship as the 13th seed. He defeated Martin Phillips, Robbie Green, and fellow débutant Paul Jennings to reach the semi-final where he was defeated 6–5 by Tony O'Shea. Harms's performance, followed by subsequent strong runs in the coming months, saw him briefly top the WDF world rankings. Career Payne won his first title in 2013 at a PDC Challenge Tour event by beating Rowby-John Rodriguez 4–3 in the final.
