Martin Christoph Redel
Martin Christoph Redel (born 30 January 1947) is a German composer, music theorist, percussionist and university teacher. Life Martin Christoph Redel was born in Detmold on 30 January 1947 as the son of the flutist Kurt Redel and the pianist Erika Redel-Seidler. He studied percussion with Friedrich Scherz and composition with Rudolf Kelterborn, Giselher Klebe and Johannes Driessler at the ''Nordwestdeutsche Musikakademie'' (today: ''Hochschule für Musik Detmold''). He then continued his studies at the ''Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover'' with Isang Yun. In 1971 he became a lecturer in music theory and ear training at the Detmold Academy of Music. In 1979 he was appointed professor of composition and Redel led the Detmold Academy as rector from 1993 to 2001. A composer is a person who writes music. The term is especially used to indicate composers of Western classical music, or those who are composers by occupation. Gerhild Romberger
Gerhild Romberger is a German mezzo-soprano and contralto concert singer. Career Born in Sögel, Germany, Romberger studied music pedagogy at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold, and then voice with Heiner Eckels. She graduated in 1990 with the artistic diploma (''künstlerische Reifeprüfung'') and took the concert exam in 1992. She took master classes with Hartmut Höll, Annie Schoonus, and Mitsuko Shirai. Her repertories are mezzo and contralto parts in Lied, oratorio, and concert, from Baroque to contemporary. Bamberg Symphony Orchestra
The Bamberg Symphony (German: Bamberger Symphoniker – Bayerische Staatsphilharmonie) is a German orchestra based in Bamberg. It is one of the most prestigious orchestras in Germany. Jörg-Peter Weigle
Jörg-Peter Weigle (born 1953, in Greifswald), is a German conductor and music professor. He is the uncle of the conductor Sebastian Weigle and the violist Friedemann Weigle. Weigle received his first musical training from 1963 to 1971 as a member of the Thomanerchor in Leipzig. From 1973 to 1978, he studied at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin, where his teachers included Horst Förster (conducting), Dietrich Knothe (choral conducting) and Ruth Zechlin (counterpoint). Michel Tabachnik
Michel Tabachnik (born November 10, 1942) is a Swiss conductor and composer with an international career. Promoter of contemporary music, he has premiered a dozen works by Iannis Xenakis, among others. He is also the author of essays on music and novels. Horst Walter Stein (born 2 May 1928 in Elberfeld, Germany; died 27 July 2008 in Vandœuvres, Switzerland) was a German conductor. Biography Stein's father was a mechanic. Hans Stadlmair (3 May 1929 – 13 February 2019) was an Austrian conductor and composer. He conducted the Münchener Kammerorchester for almost four decades. He conducted more than 6000 concerts, many in collaboration with the Bayerischer Rundfunk, including premieres. His compositions include works of all genres except opera.
