Martin Albertsen
Martin Albertsen (born 10 April 1974) is a Danish handball coach. He qualified the Swiss team for their first international competition at the 2022 European Women's Handball Championship in North Macedonia, Slovenia and Montenegro. Despite the qualification, they were eliminated in the preliminary round. In 2002 and 2004 he managed to win the Danish Women's Handball League with Viborg HK, as his first professional coaching job. Albertsen also won the Handball-Bundesliga (women), Handball-Bundesliga Frauen in 2006 and with SG BBM Bietigheim in 2017 and 2019. He also qualified the Bietigheim team for the 2016–17 Women's EHF Cup final. 2022 European Women's Handball Championship
The 2022 European Women's Handball Championship was held in Slovenia, North Macedonia and Montenegro from 4 to 20 November 2022. It showed an impressive action by the norwegian right-back Nora Mørk, who was the top scorer of the EHF EURO 2022, and Henny Reistad, the MVP. The tournament has been advanced a month in order not to coincide with the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The top three team qualified for the 2023 World Championship and the winner will also qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics. Norway won their ninth title after defeating Denmark in the final. The European Handball Federation (EHF) is the umbrella organisation for European handball. Founded on 17 November 1991, it is made of 50 member federations and two associated federations (England and Scotland), and is headquartered in Vienna, Austria. History EHF was founded on 17 November 1991 in Berlin, Germany, although the first EHF Congress convened on 5 June 1992 and assigned EHF's headquarters to Vienna, Austria from 1 September that year. In 2012 the EHF Office celebrated 20 years since it first opened its doors. The Danish Women's Handball League ( da, Damehåndboldligaen) is the top professional league for Denmark, Danish women's Team handball, handball clubs. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The club has many teams for both women and men, but especially the professional women's team is one of the most successful in Danish and European handball since the beginning of the 1990s. Ferencvárosi Torna Club is a Hungarian women's handball team from Budapest, that is part of the multi-sports club Ferencvárosi TC. Nicknamed ''Fradi'', the team plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the top level championship in Hungary. They are one of the most successful clubs in the country, having won eleven Hungarian championships and as many Hungarian cup titles.
