Marte, Nigeria
Marte is a Local Government Areas of Nigeria, Local Government Area of Borno State, Nigeria, on the western coast of Lake Chad. Its headquarters are in the town of Marte It has an area of 3,154 km and a population of 129,370 at the 2006 census. The postal code of the area is 611. It is one of the sixteen LGAs that constitute the Borno Emirate, a Nigerian traditional states, traditional state located in Borno State, Nigeria.
