Marta Kaczmarek
Marta Kaczmarek is a Polish-Australian theatre, television and film actress. Early life Kaczmarek was born in Krasnystaw, Poland, and trained at the Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Krakow. She moved to Perth, Western Australia, with her husband and daughter in the 1980s before moving to Melbourne in 2007. Career After a career in theatre, Kaczmarek's first Australian film role was opposite Geoffrey Rush in '' Shine''. Kaczmarek has had guest roles in numerous Australian television series as well as recurring roles in ''Wild Kat'', ''Offspring'', ''Rake'' and ''Wentworth''. Between 2007 and 2010, she played the lead role of Ellie Zdybicka in the SBS drama '' The Circuit'' alongside Gary Sweet and Aaron Pedersen. Krasnystaw
Krasnystaw ( uk, Красностав, Krasnostav) is a town in southeastern Poland with 18 630 inhabitants (31 december 2019). Situated in the Lublin Voivodeship (since 1999), previously in Chełm Voivodeship (1975–1998). It is the capital of Krasnystaw County. The town is famous for its beer festival called ''Chmielaki'' ( pl, chmiel means hop), and for its dairy products like yogurt and kefir. Krasnystaw is near the border with Ukraine. The river Wieprz flows through Krasnystaw. History Krasnystaw received its town charter from King Władysław II Jagiełło, who signed the document in Kraków, on 1 March 1394. Green Room Awards
The Green Room Awards are peer awards which recognise excellence in cabaret, dance, drama, fringe theatre, musical theatre and opera in Melbourne. The awards were started in 1982 when Blair Edgar and Steven Tandy formed the Green Room Awards Association. The inaugural awards ceremony was held in 1984 at the Melbourne Concert Hall. The association today is composed of members of Melbourne's performing arts community, including journalists, performers, writers, directors, choreographers, academics, theatre technicians and administrators.
