Marta González Vázquez
Marta González Vázquez ( Santiago de Compostela, 25 January 1965) is a Spanish historian and politician, member of the Spanish Parliament for La Coruña during the X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV and XV legislatures. She was deputy secretary general of Communication of the People's Party until July 2019. Biography Degree in History from the University of Santiago de Compostela (1987) and PhD from the same university (1994), specializing in Medieval History. In 1992 she began working as a documentalist for the Sargadelos Group of Companies until 1996, when she began teaching medieval history at the University of La Coruña. In 1998 she took up a post as executive secretary of the Compostela Group of Universities, where she remained until 2003, when she joined the Galician Regional Government as Director General of the Galician Equality Service. The Congress of Deputies ( es, link=no, Congreso de los Diputados, italic=unset) is the lower house of the Cortes Generales, Spain's legislative branch. The Congress meets in the Palace of the Parliament () in Madrid. It has 350 members elected by constituencies (matching fifty Spanish provinces and two autonomous cities) by closed list proportional representation using the D'Hondt method. Deputies serve four-year terms. The presiding officer is the President of the Congress of Deputies, who is elected by the members thereof. It is the analogue to a speaker. In the Congress, MPs from the political parties, or groups of parties, form parliamentary groups. Groups must be formed by at least 15 deputies, but a group can also be formed with only five deputies if the parties got at least 5% of the nationwide vote, or 15% of the votes in the constituencies in which they ran. Pablo Casado Blanco (; born 1 February 1981) is a Spanish former politician. He was a member of the Congress of Deputies representing Madrid until 4 April 2022, having previously represented Ávila between 2011 and 2019. From 2015 to 2018, he also served as vice secretary general of communication of the People's Party (PP). From July 2018 until April 2022, he was the president of the PP. Biography Early life Casado was born on 1 February 1981 in Palencia. His father, Miguel Casado González, was a doctor and his mother, Esther Blanco Ruiz, a nursing university professor.
