Marcello Baldi
Marcello Baldi (1 August 1923 – 22 July 2008) was an Italian director and a screenwriter. Life and career Born in Telve, Telve Valsugana, from 1940 to 1954 Baldi worked as assistant director for, among others, Alessandro Blasetti, Lionello De Felice, Pietro Germi and Romolo Marcellini. In 1955 he was chosen by Club Alpino Italiano, CAI to direct the Documentary film, documentary ''Italia K2'', centered upon the conquest of K2 by the Italian expedition led by Ardito Desio. He later filmed about one hundred of documentaries and more than thirty films. Gianni Solaro (born Gianni Lorenzon, 11 August 1926 – 12 August 2006) was an Italian film and television actor. Life and career Born in Rome, Solaro was a character actor in the Italian film industry for about twenty years, between the late 1950s and the late 1970s. During his career he spanned any sort of role, alternating genre films and art films, and notably working with Mario Monicelli, Marco Bellocchio, Luigi Zampa, Mario Camerini, Francesco Maselli and Florestano Vancini. Livio Lorenzon (6 May 1923 – 23 December 1971) was an Italian actor who was mainly active during the 1950s and 1960s. Biography He played minor roles in some memorable commedia all'Italiana movies directed by the likes of Dino Risi and Mario Monicelli. John Kitzmiller (December 4, 1913 – February 23, 1965) was an American actor who worked in his native land, as well as Italy and the United Kingdom. Kitzmiller achieved his greatest fame as a popular and versatile actor in Europe, making an estimated forty European films.
