Marques Murrell
Marques Allen Murrell (born March 20, 1985) is a former American football linebacker. He was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Appalachian State. Murrell also played for the New York Jets, New England Patriots, Virginia Destroyers and Montreal Alouettes. He is the younger brother of former National Football League running back Adrian Murrell, who played with the Jets from 1993 to 1997. Early years Murrell registered 21 sacks over his final two seasons at Jack Britt High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to earn All-Region honors. College career Murrell was a two-time first-team All-American performer at Appalachian State University, finishing his career with 36 sacks and a school-record 18 forced fumbles. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). Practice Squad
In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. This is particularly important for professional gridiron football teams, which do not have formal minor league farm team affiliates to train players. Jason Terrell Hunter (born August 28, 1983) is a former American football defensive end. He was signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Appalachian State. Hunter has also played for the Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos. Adrian Murrell
Adrian Byran Murrell (born October 16, 1970) is a former professional American football running back. He was drafted by the New York Jets in the fifth round of the 1993 NFL Draft after playing collegiately for the West Virginia Mountaineers. Murrell played in nine National Football League (NFL) seasons from 1993 to 2000 and 2003. High school Murrell attended Leilehua High School in Wahiawa, Hawaii.
