Maroun Khoury Sader ( ar, مارون خوري صادر), (born on December 25, 1926, Ain Ebel, Lebanon – died on August 26, 2015) was a Maronite Archeparch of the Maronite Catholic Archeparchy of Tyre. Life Ordained to the priesthood on May 11, 1952, Khoury Sader was named Archbishop of Tyre, Lebanon, on June 1, 1992 by Pope John Paul II. Maronite Patriarch of Antioch Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir ordained Sader to the episcopate on July 18, 1992 and his co-consecrators were Roland Aboujaoudé Roland Aboujaoudé (7 September 1930 – 2 May 2019) was a Lebanese Catholic Maronite eparch of the Maronite Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch. Ain Ebel
ʿAin Ebel ( ar, عين إبل; Syriac: ), the ancient 'En Bol, is a village located in the Lebanese Upper Galilee in the Caza of Bint Jbeil in the Nabatiye Governorate in Lebanon. Etymology Historian Taissier Khalaf writes that the name of the town means "Spring of the Monk" because in Aramaic ''Ain'' means spring and ''Ebel'' means the hermit, who wears a monk's garb. While Anis Freiha and Friar Youakim Moubarak believe that ''Ebel'' is a corruption of the word Baal, in reference to the Semitic god associated with storms and thus irrigation, and combined with ''Ain'' then the name may mean the "Spring of Irrigation". Edward Henry Palmer, in 1881, wrote that it meant "The Spring of Camels" taking a literal translation for the name from classical Arabic. Maronite Catholic Archeparchy of Tyre (in Latin: Archeparchia Tyrensis Maronitarum) is an Archeparchy of the Maronite Church immediately subject to the Maronite Patriarch of Antioch. This is a list of the Maronite patriarchs of Antioch and all the East, the primate of the Maronite Church, one of the Eastern Catholic Churches. Starting with Paul Peter Massad in 1854, after becoming patriarch of the Maronite Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch, they assume the name "Peter" (Boutros in Arabic, بطرس ), after the traditional first Bishop of Antioch, St. Peter, who was also the head of the Apostles. Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir
Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir ('; ar, الكاردينال مار نصر الله بطرس صفير; la, Victor Petrus Sfeir; 15 May 1920 – 12 May 2019) was the patriarch of Lebanon's largest Christian body, the Maronite Church, an Eastern Catholic Church in communion with the Holy See. Roland Aboujaoudé (7 September 1930 – 2 May 2019) was a Lebanese Catholic Maronite eparch of the Maronite Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch. Life Roland Aboujaoudé was born on 7 September 1930 in Jal-Edib, Lebanon. He was ordained priest on 25 April 1959. On 12 July 1975, Aboujaoudé was appointed patriarchal vicar of Antioch and titular bishop of Arca in Phoenicia dei Maroniti. He was ordained bishop on 23 August 1975 by the hands of the Maronite Patriarch of Antioch Cardinal Anthony Peter Khoraish and his co-consecrators were Elie Farah, Archeparch of Cyprus and Joseph Merhi, MLM, Eparch of Cairo. On 1985 Aboujaoudé was appointed Vicar general of Antioch till 1988 when he was appointed auxiliary bishop of Antioch.
