Markus Strothmann
Markus Strothmann is a jazz drummer, but also likes to play various other styles. He is currently involved in 8 musical projects of various natures, resulting in gigs at high-profile jazz occasions such as “WDR Jazznacht” as well as “Wacken” in one and the same year. He teaches at the Artez Conservatory of Music in Enschede the Netherlands, as well as two German music schools. Even during his studies at the Artez Conservatory of Music in Enschede, which he completed with the degree “Master of Music”, Markus Strothmann was able to establish himself as a recognized personality within the European jazz scene. Strothmann was able to initiate his career as a jazz musician 2009 with his own concert series “Markus Strothmann meets...”, in which he met European jazz personalities such as Nippy Noya, Norbert Gottschalk, Bart van Lier, and many more. John Hondorp
John Hondorp (born 1964 in Doetinchem, Netherlands) is a professor at the Enschede Conservatory. He was the first to teach Hammond organ as a fully autonome jazz major. His international class of students come from all over the world to study with him in Enschede. In the last 10 years they came from the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Japan and Indonesia. In March 2007 John was playing with the Enschede az Quintet "5-ESSENCE" (Quintessence) at the Indonesian "Java Jazz Festivain Jakarta. He has a master's degree in Hammond Organ from the Enschede Conservatory. He plays the jazz stages throughout Europe and toured with many European jazz artists like Ferdinand Povel, Judy Niemack, Bruno Castellucci, Nippy Noya. In 2004 he founded the John Hondorp Trio, with guitarist/composer Dominik Korte and drummer Marco Schmitz. Jeanfrançois Prins
Jeanfrançois Prins (born February 18, 1967) is a Belgian jazz guitarist, composer, vocalist and record producer. He has spent many years between New York City and Berlin where he was leading the Jazz Guitar departments in both music universities (UdK and HfM Hanns Eisler) for a total of 12 years. Upon his return to Belgium in 2016, he became the CEO of the GAM Records label in 2017. Career Jeanfrançois Prins began playing guitar when at eighteen years of age. A year later, he formed a band and performed in Brussels. His mentor was Toots Thielemans, who was known as a harmonica player but has started his career as a jazz guitarist. Other influences of Prins include jazz artists Lee Konitz, Miles Davis, and Kenny Werner. Prins graduated from college in with a degree in audio engineering.
