Markus Schupp
Markus Schupp (born 7 January 1966) is a German football manager and former player. Playing career Born in Idar-Oberstein, Rhineland-Palatinate, Schupp started playing professionally in 1984 at 1. FC Kaiserslautern, where he won the German Cup in 1990 and the league title in 1991. He went on to play over 150 matches for the club over seven years before joining SG Wattenscheid 09 in July 1991. He played at Wattenscheid for just one season, but he was so impressive during that time that it led to him being signed by FC Bayern Munich in the Summer of 1992. At Bayern, he was a first-team regular and helped the club win the 1994 Bundesliga title and two Fuji-Cups, in 1994 and 1995. He then moved to Eintracht Frankfurt in 1995 where he had moderate personal success but won no major honours as he left the club after just one season to play for Hamburger SV. Idar-Oberstein
Idar-Oberstein () is a town in the Birkenfeld district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. As a ''Große kreisangehörige Stadt'' (large city belonging to a district), it assumes some of the responsibilities that for smaller municipalities in the district are assumed by the district administration. Today's town of Idar-Oberstein is the product of two rounds of administrative reform, one in 1933 and the other in 1969, which saw many municipalities amalgamated into one. The 1990–91 Bundesliga was the 28th season of the Bundesliga, the premier football league in West Germany. It began on 8 August 1990 and ended on 15 June 1991. FC Bayern Munich were the defending champions. With the Reunification of Germany on 3 October 1990, it was the last season that the league was exclusive to teams from the former West Germany before it was opened to teams from the former East Germany. DFB-Pokal
The DFB-Pokal ( is a German knockout football cup competition held annually by the German Football Association (DFB). Sixty-four teams participate in the competition, including all clubs from the Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga. It is considered the second-most important club title in German football after the Bundesliga championship. Taking place from August until May, the winner qualifies for the DFL-Supercup and the UEFA Europa League unless the winner already qualifies for the UEFA Champions League in the Bundesliga. The competition was founded in 1935, then called the '' Tschammer-Pokal''. The first titleholders were 1. FC Nürnberg. In 1937, Schalke 04 were the first team to win the double. The Bundesliga (; ), sometimes referred to as the Fußball-Bundesliga () or 1. Bundesliga (), is a professional association football league in Germany. Huub Stevens
Hubertus Jozef Margaretha "Huub" Stevens (; born 29 November 1953) is a Dutch former professional football manager and player. Playing career Stevens was born in Sittard. While active, he played for Fortuna Sittard and PSV. During his time at PSV, he won the Eredivisie three times, the KNVB Cup once and also won the UEFA Cup once, in 1978. He also earned 18 caps for the Netherlands national team, scoring one goal and appearing in the 1980 European Championship finals. Managerial career Soon after beginning his career as head of youth development at PSV, where he helped bring and develop players and managers such as Nick Theslof, in 1993, Stevens became the manager of Roda JC Kerkrade. Heinz Hermann
Heinz Hermann (born 28 March 1958) is a Swiss former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. With 118 international matches (15 goals) between 1978 and 1991 for the Switzerland national team he is record national player ahead of Alain Geiger and Stéphane Chapuisat. Club Herrmann was born in Zürich. On 1 July 1977, he moved from FC Seefeld Zürich to Grasshopper Club Zürich, where he became Swiss league champion four times and cup champion once. At the end of the season 1984–85 he changed to Neuchâtel Xamax, and he later played for Servette FC and FC Aarau. Between 1984 and 1988 he was awarded Player of the year five years in a row. Servette FC is a Swiss football club based in Geneva, founded in March 1890 with rugby as its first sporting activity, and named after the Geneva district of the same name. Football Club de Sion, commonly known as simply FC Sion or Sion, is a Swiss football team from the city of Sion. The club was founded in 1909, and play their home matches at the Stade Tourbillon. Karl Engel (Swiss Footballer)
Karl Engel (born 24 November 1952) is a Swiss former footballer who played as a goalkeeper during the 1970s and 1980s. Career Engel began playing professionally in 1971 with FC Lucerne, where he continued to play until 1975 when he signed for Servette FC. He saw the most successful years of his career at Servette, winning the League Title in 1979, the Swiss Cup in 1978 and 1979, and the League Cup in 1977, 1979 and 1980. In 1980, he joined Neuchâtel Xamax and he played for the club until 1986 when he moved on to AC Lugano. He retired from playing in 1990. He was capped 26 times by the Swiss national team, making his debut in a 2–0 win over the United States on 6 September 1978 in Lucerne and playing his last international match on 10 November 1985, in a 1–1 draw with Norway, also in Lucerne.
