Béla Markó
Béla Markó (born September 8, 1951 in Târgu Secuiesc, Covasna County, Socialist Republic of Romania) is a Romanian politician and writer of Hungarian ethnicity. The former leader of the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR), he was also the Deputy Premier in the Emil Boc government (which came to power on December 23, 2009); he had also been Minister of State in the Tăriceanu cabinet between 2004 and 2007, in charge of culture, education and research and European integration. Markó has been a senator since 1990, and was the leader of the UDMR from 1993 to 2011. He competed in the 2004 Romanian presidential election, and ranked fourth with 5.1% of the votes. Helmut Marko
Helmut Marko (born 27 April 1943) is an Austrian former professional racing driver and current advisor to the Red Bull GmbH Formula One teams, and head of Red Bull's driver development program. Biography Marko was born in Graz, Austria. He was a school friend of Jochen Rindt, who became Formula One world champion in 1970. Marko competed in several race series, including 10 Formula One Grands Prix in 1971 and 1972, but scored no World Championship points. He had more success in endurance racing, winning the 1971 24 Hours of Le Mans, driving a Martini- Porsche 917K with Gijs van Lennep. During that year, they set a distance record which remained unbeaten until the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans (5,335.313 km, at an average of 222.304 km/h). Ida Marko-Varga
Ida Marko-Varga (born ''Mattsson''; 10 March 1985) is a Swedish swimmer. She represents SK Triton. Career Marko-Varga was an early prospect, winning two individual freestyle titles at the 1998 Swedish Swimming Championships at the age of 13. The winning marks were 2:03.95 on 200-metre freestyle and 4:21.41 on the 400 m freestyle. She won all the five titles she contested for in the Swedish Youth Championships the same summer, although she was one year younger than the others in her age group. At the Swedish Youth Short Course Championships she won six individual titles and two relay medals, still being one year younger. She won a bronze medal in the 200-metre freestyle event at the 2000 European Junior Swimming Championships, behind Irina Oufimtseva and Éva Risztov. Karol Marko
Karol Marko (born 2 April 1966) is a Slovak football manager and former player. Marko worked as an assistant coach in several mostly Slovak clubs. His first job as a first coach was at FK AS Trenčín in 2006. In 2007, he moved to the Czech Republic to coach FC Vysočina Jihlava. Two years later he moved to 1. FK Příbram, where he worked for one season, after which he moved back to Slovakia to coach Dukla Banská Bystrica.
