Mark Womack
Mark Edward Womack (born 9 January 1961) is an English actor, known for starring in '' Liverpool 1'', '' Sorted'' and Willy Russell's ''Dancin thru' The Dark''. In 2020, he appeared in the ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale'' as DI Mark Malone. Personal life Womack was born in Liverpool in 1961, eldest son of Frances (née Dean) and Tom Womack. He has a younger brother and sister. He attended high school in Childwall, Liverpool, and later attended RADA, London. Womack married Mary Therese McGoldrick in 1995. They had one son together before their 1997 divorce. ''Piece of Cake'' is a 1988 British six-part television serial depicting the life of a Royal Air Force fighter squadron from the day of the British entry into World War II through to one of the toughest days in the Battle of Britain (7 September 1940). The first seven series featured Amanda Burton in the lead role. Following Burton's departure (in series 8, episode 2), Emilia Fox joined the show (in series 8, episode 5) as new forensic pathologist Nikki Alexander and as of 2022 is still in the series. In the first episode of series 6, William Gaminara and Tom Ward both joined the series. After series 15, Ward left the show to pursue other projects. A single series of four episodes was broadcast weekly at 9:00pm on Thursdays from 30 August 2012. Following the shooting of two police officers in Tameside, Greater Manchester, on 18 September 2012, the BBC postponed the final episode, originally scheduled for Thursday 20 September at 9:00pm. The BBC announced on 28 September that the final episode would air on Saturday 13 October 2012, at a later timeslot of 10:30pm. ''Murphy's Law'' is a BBC television drama, produced by Tiger Aspect Productions for BBC Northern Ireland, starring James Nesbitt as an undercover police officer, Tommy Murphy. There were five series of the drama, shown on BBC One. The first two were composed of individual stories. Series three, four and five were each single stories composed over multiple episodes. Colin Bateman adapted the pilot for a novel. A sixth series has not been commissioned. In a 2008 interview, Nesbitt attributed this to the fifth series' ratings being damaged after it was scheduled opposite ITV's popular drama ''Doc Martin''. ''Judge John Deed'' is a British legal drama television series produced by the BBC in association with One-Eyed Dog for BBC One. It was created by G.F. Newman and stars Martin Shaw as Mr Justice Deed, a High Court judge who tries to seek real justice in the cases before him. It also stars Jenny Seagrove as the barrister Jo Mills QC, frequently the object of Deed's desire. A pilot episode was broadcast on 9 January 2001, followed by the first full series on 26 November 2001. The sixth and last series concluded on 18 January 2007.
