Mark Walker (North Carolina Politician)
Bradley Mark Walker (born May 20, 1969) is an American politician and pastor who served as the U.S. representative for North Carolina's 6th congressional district from 2015 to 2021. A member of the Republican Party, he was elected to head the Republican Study Committee in 2017 and vice chair of the House Republican Conference in 2019. On December 16, 2019, Walker announced that he would not run for reelection in 2020. He sought the Republican nomination for the United States Senate in the 2022 North Carolina election to succeed retiring U.S. Senator Richard Burr. He came in third in that primary, finishing behind runner-up Pat McCrory and U.S. Representative Ted Budd, who won the primary. Early life and education Walker was born on May 20, 1969, in Dothan, Alabama. His father was an Independent Baptist minister, and was the chaplain of a prison in Alabama. General Sir Mark Walker (24 November 1827 – 18 July 1902) was a British Army officer and an Irish recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. Early life Walker was born in Gore Port, Finea, County Westmeath in Ireland, the son of Captain Alexander Walker and Elizabeth Elliott. His younger brother was Sir Samuel Walker, 1st Baronet QC, Liberal MP for Londonderry, Solicitor-General for Ireland, Attorney-General for Ireland and Lord Chancellor of Ireland. Victoria Cross During the Crimean War, Walker was a 26-year-old lieutenant in the 30th Regiment of Foot (later the East Lancashire Regiment) British Army when the deed for which he was awarded the VC was performed. ''The Laughter Show'' was a BBC comedy sketch show, which featured Dustin Gee and Les Dennis, from 1984 to 1986 and then just featuring Dennis until 1991. History Dustin Gee and Les Dennis, both started their TV careers on '' Who Do You Do'' in 1975, where they formed their partnership. The pair went on to appear on stage and TV including '' The Russ Abbot Madhouse''. In 1984, BBC 1 gave the pair their own show ''The Laughter Show'', whilst continuing to work on ''The Russ Abbot Madhouse''. Mark Walker (songwriter)
Mark Walker (1846–1924) was a fisherman and songwriter from Tickle Cove, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland (now Newfoundland and Labrador). He is best remembered for writing the song "Tickle Cove Pond". Walker was born in Tickle Cove, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador in 1846. He married Mary Downey of Coachman's Cove on August 30, 1873, and moved to Sweet Bay, Bonavista Bay around 1875. There he worked as a fisherman, a boat builder, and the first postmaster of Sweet Bay. Mark Alan Walker
Mark Alan Walker (born 1963) is a Canadian-American philosopher. He is a professor of philosophy at New Mexico State University, where he occupies the Richard L. Hedden Endowed Chair in Advanced Philosophical Studies. Prior to his professorship at NMSU Prof. Walker taught at McMaster University in the department of philosophy and the McMaster Arts and Science, Arts & Science Programme.
