Mark Ashton Richardson (born 26 July 1972, in Slough) is an English former athlete who competed mainly in the 400 metres and 4 x 400 metres relay for Great Britain and England. He won the gold medal in the 4 x 400 metres relay at the 1997 World Championships, and again in the same event at the 1998 European Championshipss. At the Olympic Games, he won relay silver and bronze medals in 1992 and 1996. In the individual event, Richardson's most significant international results were silver at the 1998 Commonwealth Games and bronze in the 1998 European Championships, in addition to three domestic championships gold medals between 1995 and 2002. Mark Hunter Richardson (born 11 June 1971) is a former New Zealand cricketer. He was a left-handed opening batsman. He represented New Zealand in 38 Tests from 2000 to 2004. During his cricketing career he played for Auckland, Buckinghamshire and Otago. Richardson also played for Dunedin Metropolitan in the Hawke Cup. International career Richardson began his career as a left-arm spinner, batting at number 10. As his bowling ability declined, he worked on developing his batting, to the point where he was selected as an opening batsman for New Zealand, at age 29. His dour approach to batting - he described the range of shots he played as "the straight drive, the forward defensive and 27 variations on the leave" - provided vital stability to New Zealand's batting order at a time when they were notorious for collapses. Mark Richardson (born 31 October 1972) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood in the Australian Football League (AFL). Recruited from Macleod, Richardson came from a strong footballing family. His father Wayne and uncle Max were both Collingwood players while Mark's grandfather Arnold was a West Australian interstate representative. Richardson played for Collingwood at under-age level before breaking into the senior's list. Used initially as a key forward, he managed 23 goals in his debut year, three on them on debut against the Brisbane Bears. He also kicked seven goals in a match against Sydney mid season and six more the week after. Mark Richardson (born 3 October 1986 in Swindon) is a British professional ice hockey player currently signed to and captain of the Cardiff Devils of the UK's EIHL. Richardson also plays internationally for Great Britain, reaching 100 caps at the 2022 IIHF World Championship. He is the younger brother of Lee Richardson who also played ice hockey at a professional level. Richardson began his career with his hometown team the Swindon Lynx. In 2003, Richardson moved to the Bracknell Bees in a two-year spell. Richardson's good performances during the 2004–05 season, which included nine goals and 18 assists for 27 points, saw him move to the Elite League for the Cardiff Devils.
