Mark Pinter
Mark Pinter (born March 7, 1950) is an American actor best known for his numerous roles in daytime soap operas. Early life and education Pinter was born in Decorah, Iowa. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre arts from Iowa State University and a Master of Fine Arts from the Hilberry Theatre at Wayne State University. Career Acting Often cast as a villain, Pinter has been a contract player on such shows as ''Love of Life'', ''Guiding Light'', ''As the World Turns'', '' Loving'', and ''All My Children''. His most famous role was that of crooked politician Grant Harrison on '' Another World'' (1991–99), for which he won the Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Villain in 1996. In addition to his work in daytime television, Pinter has guest-starred on numerous primetime television series such as Law and Order and performed extensively on regional theatre stages across the country. ''Secrets of Midland Heights'' is an American nighttime soap opera produced by Lorimar Productions after the success of ''Dallas''. It ran on CBS from December 6, 1980 to January 24, 1981 for eight episodes, with three episodes left unaired. Crash (1978 Film)
''Crash'' (also known as ''The Crash of Flight 401'') is a 1978 made-for-TV drama film directed by Barry Shear and based on the true story of the first crash of a wide-body aircraft, that of Eastern Air Lines Flight 401, a Lockheed L-1011 TriStar which crashed in the Florida Everglades near Miami on the night of December 29, 1972. The film more or less follows the true events of the crash, although the names of key characters were changed and certain dramatic events were fictionalized. The crash sequence was one of the most authentic (and expensive) for television of the time, using multiple stunts, pyrotechnics and flyaway set pieces. ''Barnaby Jones'' is an American detective television series starring Buddy Ebsen as a formerly retired investigator and Lee Meriwether as his widowed daughter-in-law, who run a private detective firm in Los Angeles, California. The show was originally introduced as a midseason replacement on the CBS network and ran from 1973 to 1980. Halfway through the series' run, Mark Shera was added to the cast as a much younger cousin of Ebsen's character, who eventually joined the firm.
