Mark O'Connor (sportsman)
Mark O'Connor ( ga, Marc Ó Conchúir; born 17 January 1997) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life O'Connor is a native of Daingean Uí Chúis, a town in an Irish-speaking region of County Kerry, Ireland. Mark is the oldest of a set of triplets, with his identical sisters Sinead & Brydie still living in Ireland. Prior to leaving for Australia, O'Connor studied commerce at University College Cork. Gaelic football career O'Connor is particularly noted for his spectacular high fielding ability in Gaelic football, being described as one of the brightest stars of Kerry football prior to his move to Australia. Daingean Uí Chúis
Dingle (Irish: ''An Daingean'' or ''Daingean Uí Chúis'', meaning "fort of Ó Cúis") is a town in County Kerry, Ireland. The only town on the Dingle Peninsula, it sits on the Atlantic coast, about southwest of Tralee and northwest of Killarney. All-Ireland Minor Football Championship
The Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Football Championship is the premier under-17 "knockout" competition in Gaelic football played in Ireland. 2017 was the final year of the minor under 18 football championship as it were replaced by an under 17 championship following a vote at the GAA congress on 26 February 2016. The series of games are organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association and are played during the summer months with the All-Ireland Minor Football Final being played on the third Sunday in September in Croke Park, Dublin as the curtain-raiser to the senior final. David Moran (Gaelic Footballer)
David Moran (29 June 1988) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for the Kerins O'Rahilly's club and at senior level for the Kerry county team. He is the son of the former Kerry player and manager Denis "Ogie" Moran. Career Moran played for Kerry in the 2006 All-Ireland Minor Football Championship. The 2019 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final was the 132nd final of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship and the culmination of the 2019 tournament, the top level of competition in Gaelic football. Reigning All-Ireland champions Dublin took on Munster champions Kerry, with Dublin bidding to become the first Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) male team to win five consecutive editions of the competition. The last time a football team had this chance was in 1982; however, Kerry failed, their own winning streak being brought to an end by a last-minute goal. The Hogan Cup ( ga, Corn Uí Ógáin), also known as the All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Senior A Football Championship, is the top level Gaelic football championship for secondary schools (sometimes referred to as colleges) in Ireland. The competition itself is regularly referred to by the trophy's name. The 2022 champions are Naas C.B.S., who won the cup for the first time by defeating St Brendan's College in the final.
