Mark Miller (TT Motorcycle Racer)
Mark "Thriller" Miller is an American former AMA superbike motorcycle racer and current road racer in the Isle of Man TT and Macau Grand Prix. In 2010 he won the TT Zero race which replaced the 2009 format called TTXGP in which he failed to finish the course. In both events Miller rode MotoCzysz machines, winning on an updated bike designated MotoCzysz E1pc. His victory at the Isle of Man is featured in the film ''Charge, Zero Emissions/Maximum Speed'' by Mark Neale. Miller finished 2nd in the 2011 race and 3rd in 2012, again on MotoCzysz machines. The better-placed finishers were highly experienced TT racers John McGuinness and Michael Rutter who normally competed aboard top-flight conventional petrol (US-gas) engined machines in both TT and short-circuit racing at professional level. John Warren McGuinness (16 April 1972) is an English specialist Isle of Man TT professional solo motorcycle rider with 23 wins. Until early 2017 he had a long association with Honda machines having factory support in road races like the Isle of Man TT, the North West 200 and the Macau Grand Prix, and also on the short tracks in the British Superstock and Supersport series. The Isle of Man TT Mountain Course or ''TT Course'' is a street and public rural road circuit located in the Isle of Man, used for motorcycle racing. Michael Rutter (motorcycle Racer)
Michael Karl Rutter (born 18 April 1972 in Wordsley, Staffordshire) nicknamed "The Blade", is a British motorcycle racer. He currently races in the National Superstock 1000 Championship aboard a BMW S1000RR. He has a reputation for being at his best in wet conditions and his favourite circuit is Oulton Park. He won 29 British Superbike Championship races with the most recent being at Silverstone in 2010, and finished as series runner-up twice. He has also contested MotoGP and World Superbike Championship events. Mark Neale is a British documentarian and film director based in Los Angeles, California. His best-known work is the 1999 documentary ''No Maps for These Territories'', which profiled cyberpunk author William Gibson. Prior to ''No Maps'', Neale had been an acclaimed music video director, making videos for artists such as U2, Paul Weller and Counting Crows. 2006 Isle Of Man TT
The 99th anniversary Isle of Man TT Festival ran between Saturday 27 May and Friday 9 June on the 37.73-mile Mountain Course. The first week (between 27 May and 2 June) is known as the practice week, before the real action commenced on 3 June. There were 6 races in TT week. John McGuinness broke the lap record during practice for the Superbike race and then did it again in the race itself. He recorded a lap of 17:41.71, breaking the Superbike record from last year by 8.62 seconds and his outright lap record by 2.1 seconds. McGuinness then went on to take his first TT hat-trick by winning the Senior TT on 9 June, destroying the lap record in the process. He set a lap of 17:39.95 from a standing start then 17:29.26 on his 2nd lap (breaking his own lap record by 10 seconds).
