Mark E. Hutton (born August 5, 1954) is an American politician. He served as a Republican member for the 105th district in the Kansas House of Representatives from 2013 to 2017. In 2016, he was given a lifetime rating of 88% by the American Conservative Union. He is married with two children. He was appointed to the Kansas Board of Regents by Gov. Gene Suellentrop
Gene Suellentrop (born January 1, 1952) is an American politician who was a Republican member of the Kansas State Senate, representing the 27th district from January 11, 2017, to January 2, 2023. He served as the Senate's Majority Leader beginning in January 2021. After an intoxicated high-speed freeway police chase in the wrong direction on March 16, 2021, he was removed as Senate Majority Leader by a caucus vote in April 2021, but not from the Senate itself. Before being elected to the state senate, he had served two terms in the Kansas house, then was elected to the senate in 2016. Brenda Landwehr
Brenda Landwehr (born March 8, 1955) is a Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives. She is the owner of LT Care Solutions, Inc., and is a member of Christ the King Church, Comcare Mental Health Advisory Board, and the Salvation Army Foster Care Advisory Board. Career Landwehr was originally elected in the 91st district in 1994, serving from 1995 to the end of the 2012 legislative session. On October 25, 2011, Landwehr announced that she would not run for reelection to the Kansas House, but would instead be seeking the Kansas Senate seat in District 25 (then held by incumbent Republican Senator Jean Schodorf) in the 2012 election. Jeffrey William Colyer (born June 3, 1960) is an American surgeon and politician who served as the 47th governor of Kansas from January 31, 2018, to January 14, 2019. A member of the Republican Party, he was the 49th lieutenant governor of Kansas from 2011 to 2018. Colyer served in the Kansas House of Representatives from 2007 to 2009 and the Kansas Senate from 2009 to 2011. He assumed the governorship when Sam Brownback resigned to become United States Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom.
