Mark Hubbard (golfer)
Mark Hubbard (born May 24, 1989) is an American professional golfer. College career Hubbard golfed for San Jose State University from 2007 to 2011. A 2009 first-team all-Western Athletic Conference (WAC) honoree, he twice qualified for the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship, in 2009 and 2011. As a senior in 2011, he finished first in the WAC championship tournament. He graduated from San Jose State in December 2011 with a B.S. in business management. Professional career Hubbard turned professional in 2012. In September 2013, Hubbard won his first PGA Tour Canada event at The Wildfire Invitational. He finished the season ranked third on the Order of Merit, securing him one of five Web.com Tour cards for the 2014 season. In his first season on the Web.com Tour, Hubbard had six top-10 finishes including a runner-up to Greg Owen at the United Leasing Championship. AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour, held annually at Pebble Beach, California, near Carmel. The tournament is usually held during the month of February on three different courses, currently Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course, and Monterey Peninsula Country Club. The event was originally known as the Bing Crosby National Pro-Amateur, or just the Crosby Clambake. After Crosby's death in 1977, the tournament was hosted by his family for eight years. 2019 Korn Ferry Tour
The 2019 Korn Ferry Tour was the 30th season of the top developmental tour for the PGA Tour in men's golf. The season began under the Web.com Tour name but changed in June to the Korn Ferry Tour. The season ran from January 13 to September 2 and consists of 27 official money tournaments, four of them played outside of the United States. The top 25 players on the Korn Ferry Tour's regular-season points list in 2019 earned PGA Tour cards for 2020. The Finals, which concluded on September 2, determined the other 25 players to earn PGA Tour cards and the initial priority order of all 50. The Players Championship
The Players Championship (commonly known as simply The Players, stylized by the PGA Tour as The PLAYERS Championship) is an annual golf tournament on the PGA Tour. Originally known as the Tournament Players Championship, it began in 1974. The Players Championship at one point offered the highest purse of any tournament in golf ($20 million). The field usually includes the top 50 players in the world rankings, but unlike the major championships and World Golf Championships events, it is owned by the PGA Tour and not an official event on other tours. Despite not being a major, it has been promoted as such by the tour, dubbed ''the fifth major'', and is often regarded as the next most prestigious tournament in golf. The PGA Championship (often referred to as the US PGA Championship or USPGA outside the United States) is an annual golf tournament conducted by the Professional Golfers' Association of America. It is one of the four men's major championships in professional golf. Mackenzie Hughes (born November 23, 1990) is a Canadian professional golfer. Early life and amateur career Hughes was born in Hamilton, Ontario. He is a graduate of Kent State University. He won the 2011 and 2012 Canadian Amateur Championship. Hughes was the number one Canadian Amateur in 2011. He was a member of Team Canada's National Squad in 2008, 2011, and 2012. Professional career Hughes turned professional in 2012 and played on the eGolf Professional Tour and PGA Tour Canada. He played in 2012 and 2013 Canadian Opens but missed the cut in both events. In June 2013, Hughes qualified for the U.S. Open, winning a playoff at his sectional qualifying site.
