Mark Haluptzok (born December 19, 1951, in Bemidji, Minnesota, United States) is an American curler. He is a . He inducted into the United States Curling Association Hall of Fame in 2007. Bemidji, Minnesota
Bemidji ( ) is a city and the county seat of Beltrami County, in northern Minnesota, United States. The population was 14,574 at the 2020 census. According to 2021 census estimates, the city is estimated to have a population of 15,279, making it the largest commercial center between Grand Forks, North Dakota and Duluth. As a central city for three Indian reservations, Bemidji is the site of many Native American services, including the Indian Health Service. Near Bemidji are the Red Lake Indian Reservation, White Earth Indian Reservation, and the Leech Lake Indian Reservation. Mark Lazar
Mark Lazar (born July 19, 1977) is an American curler and curling coach. He competed in the 2005 United States Olympic Curling Trials. He curls out of the Detroit Curling Club. He coached Team Stopera to three United States Junior Championships and a silver medal at the 2017 World Junior Championships. Playing career While attending Bowling Green University in his freshman year, Lazar took a 1 credit gym class in curling. He joined the Bowling Green Curling Club a year after and joined a club league and the university curling league. Lazar participated in the 2001, 2002, and 2003 United States Men's Curling Championships. In 2005 Lazar was lead for the Don Barcome Jr. rink at the United States Olympic Curling Trials, where his team finished 10th. He also participated in the 2006 Men's Nationals, finishing 9th. The 2005 United States Olympic Curling Trials were held from February 19 to 26 in McFarland, Wisconsin. The trials determined which teams would represent the United States at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Robert Wesley Naylor (born January 21, 1944) is an American lawyer and politician. He is a former California State Assemblyman who represented the San Francisco Bay Area's 20th Assembly District from 1978 to 1986. During his tenure in the State Assembly, he served as Assembly Republican Leader from 1982 to 1984. After his tenure in the State Assembly, he served as Chair of the California Republican Party from 1987 to 1989. Early life and career Naylor was born on January 21, 1944, in Reno, Nevada. Kevin Stevens (born April 15, 1965) is an American former ice hockey player and current scout in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played left wing on a line with Mario Lemieux during the Pittsburgh Penguins' Stanley Cup championships in 1991 and 1992. During his career, he also played with the Boston Bruins, Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers, and Philadelphia Flyers. In 2017, Stevens was named Special Assignment Scout with the Penguins hockey organization. Early career Stevens was born in Brockton, Massachusetts, but grew up in Pembroke, Massachusetts. Raymond "Bud" Somerville (born January 27, 1937 in Superior, Wisconsin) is an American curler. He is a two-time World champion, and five time American champion. Somerville was the first inductee to the United States Curling Hall of Fame in 1984. Curling career Somerville won his first American championship in 1965, qualifying his team for the 1965 Scotch Cup, the World Curling championships at the time. His team won the event, defeating Canada's Terry Braunstein in the final, making Somerville the first skip from outside of Canada to win a World championship. In 1968, Somerville won his second U.S. championship.
