Mark Gregory (actor)
Mark Gregory (born Marco De Gregorio, 2 May 1964 – 31 January 2013) was an Italian film actor. Career Gregory worked as a waiter, before being discovered in a gym in Rome. After his fiancée sent his picture to Fulvia Film, he was cast over some 2,000 candidates for the role of "Trash" in the 1982 science fiction thriller '' 1990: The Bronx Warriors'', starring alongside Christopher Connelly and Fred Williamson. The film was heavily inspired by ''Mad Max 2'' (1981) and '' The Warriors'' (1979). In the film ''Adam and Eve: The First Love Story'' (1983), he played the biblical character Adam. His dark looks resulted in him being cast as a vengeful Native American in the ''First Blood''-inspired 1983 action film ''Thunder Warrior''. He starred in the film ''Delta Force Commando'' (1988), starring again alongside Fred Williamson. Gregory's last acting role was a starring role in ''Afghanistan – The Last War Bus'' (1989). Street painting, also known as screeving, pavement art, street art, and sidewalk art, is the performance art of rendering artistic designs on pavement such as streets, sidewalks, and town squares with impermanent and semi-permanent materials such as chalk. Origin The origins of modern street painting can be traced to Britain. Pavement artists were found all over the United Kingdom and by 1890 it was estimated that more than 500 artists were making a full-time living from pavement art in London alone. Porta Pia
Porta Pia is a gate in the Aurelian Walls of Rome, Italy. One of Pope Pius IV's civic improvements to the city, it is named after him. Situated at the end of a new street, the Via Pia, it was designed by Michelangelo in replacement for the Porta Nomentana situated several hundred meters southwards, which was closed up at the same time. Construction began in 1561 and ended in 1565, after the artist's death. A 1561 bronze commemorative medal by shows an early plan by Michelangelo, very different from his final design. The façade on the outside of the city was completed in 1869 under the Neo-Classicist design by Virginio Vespignani. History A replacement was needed because of the new urban area, which could no longer provide access through the ancient Porta Nomentana for the Via Nomentana. It had two sequels, one released in 1985 and the other in 1988. The premise borrows heavily from '' First Blood''. Premise A Native American named Thunder returns home following a long absence and discovers a construction company that's destroying a native burial ground, which is a breach of the treaty signed a century ago between his grandfather with the US Government. His attempt to alert the local authorities results in him being escorted out of the county by one of the sheriff's deputies, who order him to stay out of town. Having done no wrong and after being assaulted by the construction workers, Thunder returns and the situation continues to escalate.
