Mark Gavin
Mark Wilson Gavin (born 10 December 1963) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a winger. He made over 290 Football League appearances in the 1980s and 1990s. Career Mark Gavin played his youth football with Leeds United. Gavin signed professional for Leeds United in December 1981. While at Leeds United Gavin had a short loan spell with Hartlepool United in 1985. Gavin moved from Leeds United to Carlisle United in July 1985. Gavin joined Bolton Wanderers from Carlisle United in March 1986. Gavin played in the Associate Members' Cup final for Bolton Wanderers against Bristol City in May 1986. Gavin moved from Bolton Wanderers to Rochdale in August 1987. Gavin moved briefly to Scotland with Hearts and played in the Scottish League. Bristol City manager Joe Jordan signed Gavin for £35,000 from Hearts in October 1988. Gavin moved from Bristol City to Watford when he was swapped with Wayne Allison in August 1990. Midfielder
A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. As central midfielders often go across boundaries, with mobility and passing ability, they are often referred to as deep-lying midfielders, play-makers, box-to-box midfielders, or holding midfielders. There are also attacking midfielders with limited defensive assignments. Carlisle United Football Club ( , ) is a professional association football club based in Carlisle, Cumbria, England. The team compete in , the fourth tier of the English football league system. Greenock Morton Football Club is a Scottish professional football club, which plays in the Scottish Championship. Terry Cooper (footballer Born 1944)
Terence Cooper (12 July 1944 – 31 July 2021) was an English football player and manager. He was a left back in the Leeds United team of the 1960s and 1970s, and featured for England at the 1970 Mexico World Cup. He later went on to manage both of Bristol's football teams, Birmingham City and was twice manager of Exeter City. Early career Cooper was born in Brotherton, West Riding of Yorkshire. He was not discovered as a young player in the conventional manner – he simply turned up at Leeds United one day with his football boots in a paper bag, asking for a trial. He was granted his wish and impressed enough to be offered an apprentice contract. James Murdoch Lumsden (born 7 November 1947 in Glasgow), known as Wee Jimmy, is a Scottish former association football player and former first team coach at Manchester United and Everton. Playing career He began his footballing career with Leeds United in 1964, he captained Leeds reserves however failed to make a lasting breakthrough into the first team, playing just four games before his transfer to Southend United in 1970. Dr. Wayne Anthony Allison (born 16 October 1968) is an English former association football, footballer and coach. In a career spanning over 20 years, he played for eight clubs and scored more than 200 goals. He played as a Striker (association football), centre forward and was nicknamed the "Chief".
