Mark Fisher
Mark Fisher (11 July 1968 – 13 January 2017), also known under his blogging alias k-punk, was an English writer, music critic, political and cultural theorist, philosopher, and teacher based in the Department of Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths, University of London. He initially achieved acclaim for his blogging as k-punk in the early 2000s, and was known for his writing on radical politics, music, and popular culture. Fisher published several books, including the unexpected success '' Capitalist Realism: Is There No Alternative?'' (2009), and contributed to publications such as ''The Wire'', ''Fact'', ''New Statesman'' and ''Sight & Sound''. He was also the co-founder of Zero Books, and later Repeater Books. Mark Fisher, OBE, MVO, RDI (20 April 1947 – 25 June 2013) was a British architect best known for his rock music stage sets. He was born in Warwickshire, England. Fisher graduated from the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA School) in London in 1971. He was a Unit Master at the AA School from 1973 to 1977. In 1984 he set up the Fisher Park Partnership with Jonathan Park. The partnership was dissolved in 1994 when he established Stufish, the Mark Fisher Studio. Mark Fisher (3 December 1959 – 12 December 2016) was a British session keyboardist. He was the first keyboard player for Wham! and performed on their 1985-1986 world tour. He also worked with Sister Sledge, and was one-half of Matt Bianco. Mark Fisher (born 29 October 1944) is a British Labour Party politician. He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Stoke-on-Trent Central from 1983 to 2010 and Minister for the Arts between 1997 and 1998. Early life Mark Fisher is the son of Sir Nigel Fisher, the former Conservative MP for Surbiton and Lady Gloria Vaughan, daughter of the 7th Earl of Lisburne. He is the stepson of Ulster Unionist MP Patricia Ford, and thus the brother-in-law of Conservative MP Sir Michael Grylls and uncle of explorer Bear Grylls. After the retirement of Tam Dalyell in 2005, Fisher became the only Labour MP to have been educated at Eton College. He read English Literature at Trinity College, Cambridge. Mark Elliot Fisher (born December 14, 2000) is a Canadian soccer player who plays for Toronto FC II in MLS Next Pro. Early life Fisher was born in Calgary, Alberta in Canada, but grew up in Grand Blanc, Michigan in the United States. The murder of Mark S. Fisher occurred in the early morning hours of October 12, 2003. The college student was brutally beaten, shot five times, and left on Argyle Road in Prospect Park South, Brooklyn. He was 19 years old. Mark Fisher Fitness (MFF) is a boutique fitness center located in the Hell's Kitchen area of New York City. MFF offers classes, semi-private training, nutrition counseling and life coaching. History Mark Fisher Fitness began as a personal training business entity. Fisher began using the name Mark Fisher Fitness in the fall of 2010 with the launch of a newsletter, but the business did not become a corporate entity until May 2011.
